  1. Well - now the code said it's only valid for the GL-AXT1800 and even then is a 20% discount. It can't be applied to the GL-MT3000. It's also not the "69%" that's mentioned in the video. So... not sure what's going on with this one.
  2. The code for GL.iNet in the latest Techquickie doesn't work. Keeps saying the code is invalid. Based on the comments in the video a few people are having the same problem.
  3. Sorry about the bump. I've edited my original post as I am now looking to upgrade my motherboard and cpu in order to have a better experience with the playing Star Wars Squadrons (as well as looking to the future). At this stage I'm not looking to upgrade anything else (due to budget) so I'm hoping the rest of my existing parts will be compatible with the motherboard and cpu I'm purchasing. Thank you for any help you can give me.
  4. Are you still having this issue? I found this article about Minecraft on Windows (https://windowsreport.com/minecraft-not-using-gpu/#:~:text=Select the AMD GPU) Is there something like this you can do on Pop! OS LTS 20.04?
  5. Have you tried having Minecraft show up only on the monitor(s) that is connected to the HD 5450? Just wondering if it makes a difference.
  6. Just a suggestion - try disabling the GPU in device manager (or even better - removing the GPU altogether) - and using onboard graphics and test to see if it still happens. That error can be happening for various reasons (both hardware and software) so you need to narrow it down. Also - make sure you are not running Windows 10 2004. That's just not ready/stable enough yet.
  7. Honestly, nobody should be running Windows 10 2004 yet (unless you are part of Windows Insider or whatever). It is nowhere near ready.
  8. Glad to hear it worked. You may need to prevent Windows from updating the drivers in the future. https://www.howtogeek.com/302595/how-to-stop-windows-10-from-automatically-updating-hardware-drivers/ Looks like there are multiple ways to do it (as well as potentially blocking driver updates for specific hardware devices).
  9. If you could post the BSOD message you get that might help with diagnosing what is causing it. As @mariushm said: also check Event Viewer for the moments leading up to the BSOD for things that could be causing it. Additionally, double check Device Manager to ensure everything is working fine and there isn't any device not working properly. As mentioned - make sure any drivers you install are manufacturer ones wherever possible (not Windows default ones). Is it still possible to stop Windows updating device drivers with Windows Update? If so - I would do that as well to make sure Windows doesn't overwrite your drivers with ones it thinks are "newer".
  10. Hmm. Well according to the manual for your motherboard (which I'm assuming is this one: https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_b550-aorus-pro-ac_1001_e.pdf) it looks like it Legacy USB Support should be enabled by default (make sure you are in Advanced Mode in your BIOS, then go to Settings. p.31 of the manual). That being said - since you mentioned it was working until what sounds like a recent update of some sort (be it Windows Update or whatever) - that's why I was thinking a complete driver uninstall and re-install would be something to try first. And test using a simple USB mouse as well.
  11. Hmm. Did anything update recently? Is all the hardware working properly in device manager? Have you tried downloading the drivers for your mouse (assuming there are any) and re-installing them? You could also unplug the mouse, manually remove the mouse in device manager (tricky without a mouse I know but the best way would be to, with your mouse working, bring up device manager, find your mouse entry, open it, go to the Driver tab, remove your mouse, then use the keyboard to select the uninstall option at the bottom), restart the computer, then plug the mouse back in. The drivers should reinstall automatically. You mentioned you already tried all the USB ports on your computer - did you do that both types of mouse? Have you got a simple, not fancy, USB mouse you can test all the ports with? If none of the above work you may have to look at the motherboard. Note: the below steps are obviously a risk since they involve doing stuff with the motherboard. 1. Check the BIOS. Is there a legacy USB support option? If there is - enable it. 2. Double check your RAM (I know, weird request, but I've seen posts where re-seating RAM/moving RAM/swapping RAM has fixed it ....no idea why)? 3. Try turning off you computer, unplugging it from the wall, disconnect power connections to your motherboard from your PSU, wait for 5 minutes, take out the CMOS battery (carefully), wait for 5 minutes, put the CMOS battery back in, connecting everything up and test.
  12. Thanks. I've made a post over there now and have deleted my previous post.
  13. Budget (including currency): Around $700 Australian Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Upgrade to play Star Wars Squadrons and beyond. An all rounder so for work and play. Other details: So my current system (which I've been running since 2014) is this (Note: this lives in the study/office that I share with my wife so it needs to be quiet/silent when running - hence some of the choices made): Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VI Formula (BIOS 0804) Processor: Intel i5-4670k (not overclocked so running at 3.40 GHz ...and because of that I'm only using the stock cooler) Memory: 16gb (2x8) G. Wil my current graphics card be compatible with the new motherboard? Note: I know its old but at this stage all I can afford is a motherboard & CPU upgrade. Will my current power supply be compatible with the new motherboard and be enough for the system after upgrade? Will this fit my existing case? Thanks for any assistance you can give me!
