No it wouldn't happen because you can in fact just sell the box if you list it as only the box, under a relevant category that indicates its only a box, which is not the case in the listing in the OP.

No one actually buys just the box. Sorry to burst your fantasy bubble but collecting boxes isn't something that really happens.

And you accuse the buyers or being incapable of reading when all this time you are incapable of reading the simple solution already provided many times over in this thread to list the box or fan without the full physical CPU specification.

I guess its obvious to see where all this kind of scamming comes from though - the LTT community.

Spanish law has a similar definition called “false advertisement” which is advertising that can : induce an error ; mislead its recipients ; affect their economic behaviour or damage or be likely to damage a competitor. False advertisement can also include any publicity that excludes fundamental data related to the promoted goods or services as long as the omission induces the consumer into error.

Give false information in order to induce the consumer into buying a product or service

StopLoctiteOnM.2Screws got a reaction from FargoUT in What can be done about Asus continuing to seal their M.2 heatsink screws with Loctite red?
I just received a reply from Asus to asking for an escalation with the legal letter I had sent.

The person that replied said that from the photos I sent, I am both 'using the wrong screws', and 'It is unfortunate you threaded the screws yourself'.

The screws in question are the ones that were pre installed on the M.2 heatsink covers and the red loctite was already on them after I managed to get just the one off

So apparently Asus think they aren't putting loctite on their screws, and that it is the customers that are doing this themselves.

You shouldn't need any more than a normal tool to remove the screw, other manufacturers like Gigabyte and ASRock make high quality motherboards and I haven't heard of them using loctite to secure fasteners.

IMO having to use a drill or needing to heat up the screw is just unacceptable if its something intended to be taken off, the red loctite is for stuff like car parts to make sure the screw or bolt doesn't vibrate loose. The most I've seen use on graphics cards was loctite blue, just barely sticky enough to hold the screw in.
And I dunno people seem to have a bias for Asus, because Linus uses Asus.  I don't have any brand preference, but I've heard many complaints of awful customer service from Asus and their stuff is often more expensive the Gigabyte,MSI, ASRock because of the ROG gaming branding.

Are M.2 slots meant to be usable? If I buy a board with 2 M.2 slots and have 2 M.2 drives, am I meant to be able to install them?

Hmmmm, this is really very hard to understand! Lemme check the manual real quick .....

Ok I checked the manual (again):

Step 4 was the screw that I couldn't get off and already sent the board back to the retailer to ask them to remove it. One of the two screws in step 13 was then the one that I found that had loclite red, but fortunately somehow it still came off easily. This time. The 2 M.2s slots are on each side of the daughterboard, and the integrated sound is on the rest of that board, a rather clever design, except they always seal it all down with loctite red!
