Backstory, I am repearing my Nans 2014 all in one PC. Lenovo won't help as it is out of warranty but the device is needed for her volunteering. For weeks she said the power led would stay on after shutdown on Win10 and the only way to turn it off is by the plug. Then the device only lights up, fans spin and shuts back off. I plugged in an external keyboard and it lights up but after pressing it the device turns off. You occasionly hear the windows startup noise. Yester day i did get a picture and the device worked fine for a while until i turned it off and it didnt come back on. Is this a power supply issue? It uses a external brick like a laptop, could it be this or the internal power connector? In NOV 2021, i added 4gb of ram and swapped the dying hdd for a ssd but this didnt effect it as this issue has arised recently I have cleaned fans and reapplied thermal paste and still same issue Attached are images of PSU, and the device

Ubuntu is the way to go. It runs on any system, even my 8yr old laptop! Manjaro is another solution although i have only used it on the pi 4

Try ubuntu 20.04, if you want an OS less resource consuming, try Ubuntu 16.04. Ubuntu 20.04 LTS runs fine on my 8 year old machine.

Hi, have you got a system repair disc for your machine? If not, do you have a pc running the same OS as your PC and a blank CD/DVD*. Or you can try using an OS disk to reinstall windows. Hope this helps!!! *I can't find the feature on windows 8.1 but i've used it on other systems

Do the headphones have a loose connection. And do they work with other devices

Have you tried removing some of the RAM. Does the power button light up

Hi, have you got the correct drivers for the graphic cards and the monitor. If this doens't work try using a different cable such as HDMI. I hope this helps!

Hi, Im just wondering if anyone knows why my laptops drivers won't install on my system. I used to use windows 10 but after issues with dual boot, i had to use windows 7 (as it is the only bootable disk i own). Does anyone know why my drivers won't install or how to force install them? The drivers worked on windows 10, but the OS ran painfully slow. Would windows 8.1 be a valid option? Thanks Im using a TOSHIBA Sattelite l850-1D5 System specs are in a picture below
