  1. quick update on the noisy fan, its been almost a week now and its not reoccurred , a friend has the same model and she had the noisy fan issue also. She ran the fans at 100% for a few hours and the noise disappeared. Im about to strip everything down, replace the thermal paste and pads, take the vent covers out and see what kind of temps im getting.
  2. My Noisy fan seems to have fixed itself, I emailed ASUS support last Tuesday and still not had a reply from them... Im planning on removing the black covers from the rear vents this week as long as the noisy fan issue doesn't reoccur The noisy fan was the only negative for the G502 for me. When I have some spare funds I'll be looking at replacing the 2nd m.2 SSD I added to the Laptop and adding more ram. has anyone actually upgraded the ram yet? Ive had compatibility issues with other laptops in past. I'll wait to see if anyone can confirm whats compatible before buying
  3. Do you mean run them as seperate networks or connect 3 devices using seperate powerline adapters? if you are just trying to connect 3 devices to your network from different rooms then Im pretty sure modern powerline adapters can cope with more than 2 devices.
  4. its hard to picture what you are explaining without seeing a photo of the inside of your case. But I have run into similar issues in past with a few smaller pc builds and using PCIe Riser cable/extension was how I got around the problem like someone earlier suggested.
  5. Theres me complaining I cant get above 63Mbps in the UK.. That upload speed tho...
  6. yep like @xAcid9 said, thats the way forward. PerfCapReason is under the sensors tab btw incase you cant find it
  7. hmm, yeah you are right, that's running on your 1650. Ive got a Ryzen 7 4800H 2.9ghz with a GTX 1660ti maxQ and I get 160fps easily, you should be getting well over 100fps. I'd be interested in what temps you are getting, what power profile you have selected etc. Thats what I'd be looking at to try and troubleshoot your issue. Id also run a few benchmarks so I could maybe compare my results with similar systems. Im sure we can all try and help you out here though. Edit: I also forgot to say make sure you have the latest drivers for both of your GPU's
  8. hmm, thats strange. the only other things i can think of are: you must have setup port forwarding on your router/modem from the external ip to your android device hosting the server? have you tried setting the android device up with DMZ on your router? so there will be no firewall rules or the need to faff around with UPNP or have you got dual channel wifi setup? I mean a 5ghz SSID and then a separate 2.5ghz SSID ? is your android device connected to the same wireless bandwidth? With 2.5ghz having better range ive noticed if my android device switches over to 2.5ghz when im in the garden I cant connect to my security cameras which Ive connected to the 5ghz SSID. Its strange you can see it sometimes under LAN server but then it disapears.
  9. thats a 750w psu right ? Im sure ive seen a 550watt psu run that gpu
  10. are you connecting to your external IP or your localhosts ip ?
  11. im pretty sure my custom settings were set to the defaults after one of the patches. Might be the same issue here ?
  12. I got banned by BattleEye when Arma 2 was popular, it was total BS. I never got my account back, they wouldn't even respond to me other than being told I was using 3rd party software?! arma 2 was all about the mods but I never used 3rd party cheats or had anything that could be considered a cheat. Ive stayed away from games that use BattleEye ever since
  13. When you go to run the game from the shortcut, right click on it and look to see if you have the option of Run with Graphics processor and then choose your 1650. I had the same issue with my G15 and this fixed it.
  14. Im in the UK so any EU timezone will be good for me
