Screenshot? Probably something like HWInfo64 or Afterburner w/ RTSS.

They probably use a combination of two programs:
    - One that logs the temperature (and possible clockspeed/voltage/etc.) over time
    - Another program that interpets these numbers and is used to create graphs.
    - Maybe another to visualize some data more prettily.

The second program is easy: you can use Microsoft Excel/Google Spreadsheets to log the numbers and create the base graph(s). (Possibly) using the third program you can make the graphs prettier. This might just be (custom) presets in their editing program of choice.
The program to actually log the CPU temperatures (and more). HWInfo64 can used to log the numbers needed. Then you just need to import them and make the graphs

Go to Control Panel>Network and internet>Network and sharing center>Change adapter settings(its on the side)
The right click on your adapter (so probably ethernet) then properties, then Internet protocol version 4.

On the popup window click Use the following ip adress, then also use the followind dns server
Enter an ip adress just pick somthing that would not be already taken, for example if devices have ips of 192.168.1.1-192.168.1.12 the pick something like 192.168.1.20

    Netmask should probably be 255.255.255.0

    Gateway should be your router

    And dns can be 1.1.1.1 and/or 8.8.8.8

after that click apply, and it should work

Im guessing that either DHCP wasnt working on your router, or somone else had the same ip as you.
    Im glad it worked!

Yeah, you should replace thermal paste and clean out all the dust. Pretty much any thermal paste works.
To do it, just open up the laptop and dust it with esd safe brushes or compressed air. Then remove the cooler and clean off the old paste with isopropyl alcohol on something like a paper towel. Then put a small amount of the new paste on there and put the cooler back. The exact method of opening the laptop will depend on what laptop you have so just google the process for your laptop and guides should come up.
