  1. You can get an oem windows key way cheaper on ebay and save like $100.
  2. They pay themselves off in no time, great for cleaning out the pc, keyboard, dust filters, anything that builds up dust, not just computers. Can dusters end up being a waste of money, even though they can be fun to use as a cryo blaster.
  3. How much alcohol did you use and how long did you let it dry out after cleaning it? If moisture moved into the wrong spot when the card began to heat up under load it could have caused a short which can kill a card.
  4. True, but it is a good backup to have just in case you get old stock.
  5. Also if the store does not update the bios, AMD does offer a short term boot kit through their rma service that loans out an Athlon 200ge to update the bios, as long as you send it back with the prepaid shipping its free, might be a deposit but I'm not sure.

    VGA Monitor

You would have to use an HDMI to VGA converter like this to convert the hdmi signal to vga, it should work just fine.
  7. They are probably looked over for damage and defects, if they check out then they sell the items as factory referbished.

    Am I hacked?

When in doubt just change passwords, and be sure to use different passwords for different accounts, write them down or use a password manager like RoboForm, that way if one password is compromised, the whole lot isn't.
  9. Unplug the drives you don't want and use the windows installation media to delete the partition on the main drive and create a new one to reinstall windows on. I usually do a fresh install about once a year to clean up the junk anyways, with Windows 10 its easy to do, and if you need a new windows key you can get oem keys for cheap.
  10. Looks a whole lot like a dying gpu, I would contact MSI and request an rma, if you bought it new retail it should have a 3 year warranty.
  11. Nope, cancel or return that asap, you could even find a better prebuilt somewhere else, my first gaming grade pc was a $950 USD Asus prebuilt that came with an i7-3770k, and I used the cpu up until this year, an i5 at that price point is ridiculous. If you do want to buy a prebuilt, avoid "gaming" models, odds are that you will pay more for cosmetics, get a basic looking office model with a high end CPU and slap the 1660 in it and upgrade it as you go.
  12. Intel is not in a very great place right now, Intel does have the lead in single core performance, but not by a huge margin. So the decision for most people is if they want to spend a couple of hundred dollars for a relatively small improvement, that's why the Ryzens are so popular right now, best value for the money. Edit: Not quite sure why Intel prices their CPUs so high considering they have been making the same 14nm chips for years, you would think they would at least try and compete with AMD pricewise.
  13. Probably put it in to see how long it would take for someone to notice.
  14. If you are using it for school, I would stick to MS office for compatibility issues since docx files are pretty much universally used by larger organizations such as schools and business. Bonus is that the subscription comes with 1TB of cloud storage which is nice for offsite backups, main reason that I use it.
  15. Definitely list it for $100-$150 more than you want to get, best case scenario you get a bit extra but most people like to haggle a price down. So i'd list it at $1,200 and see what offers come in, also do you plan on selling it on Craigslist or online like eBay?
