    Hi, since about 2 days ago, games like GTA FiveM and minecraft have been crashing on boot, sometimes the game just crashes, other times the whole computer!!!!! I have reinstalled my drivers, updated windows and also did some trouble shooting with people on a fiveM server, since i thought it was that game only, until i tried minecraft! While running benchmarks it doesnt crash... like heaven,valley, and furmark I am on driver version 461.40 I also updated windows in the last couple of days, not sure if its related... PC SPECS: RTX 2070 R5 3600x 32gb ram @3200 Is anyone else experiencing these crashes??

    Couple clarification things: Sorry are you using 2 gpus in crossfire? or u tested it with a second gpu to see if the first one was dead? I doubt you are since ur cpu is an i3 but if so: If you are using 2 gpus in crossfire, you need to have a crossfire MB. Also if so you might need a bridge to connect the two together. You could also have a short some where in the system, I think you are using a test bench/building out out of the case first, (smart) since it "kinda turns on" you might have a contact that touches metal that contacts ground, this then would cause a short/unusual power delivery, so the motherboard/psu shuts of to avoid bricking components. When you set it up on the MB box, did you plug in the gpus? or one? Try this again for both gpus one at a time, and PLUG IN a monitor to the GPU's since the cpu doesn't have integrated graphics. See if it outputs to a display, if not try the other gpu. Also did the MB beep at all? or did you install a little speaker that came in the MB box (specifically for beep codes)

    Hi, does anyone know if there is any difference is speeds for file transfer for "mapping a network drive" or "Adding network location" in windows. I have a NAS, and have used both in the past, but I don't know if there is any file transfer speed difference between the two. Reading on other forms, it seems that it makes a some difference for security purposes for IT professionals and for commercial purposes, and one guy said that a user introduced a virus into the network, and on one of the two types (i dont remember which one) it was a little harder for it to jump from one to another. For me that doesn't really matter much, I'm more concern about transfer speed of large files to and from the NAS. If anyone knows if there is any difference for speed, that would be appreciated!!     I tried installing sea of thieves, from the Microsoft store, since I had it already on Xbox, but I wanted it to install on my secondary SATA ssd, and not my BOOT NVME ssd, when doing this it created a whole bunch of files and directories for windows, not related to the game, and even if they are I have uninstalled it now, since I dont play it. But there are stupid folders like "windowsapps" and "WpSystem" when I try and delete with admin, this happens:

    Ok this is what you need to do: You have an older gpu, but still very capable, lower some of the settings in Fortnite, like the post processing, anti-aliasing, and effects. The most likely problem is that you are bottled necked by the cpu in Fortnite, since fornite can be cpu bound, like when dropping out of the battle bus, or in a busy spot like old tilted towers, since there are many things for it to do, like keeping track of all 100 players. The cpu is basically organizing tasks for the gpu to do, like render frames, but cant always keep up, creating hitching/stuttering. The CPU IS a fine parring, but trying to get 280hz/frames is a lot. I have a rtx 2070, and a ryzen 5 3600x, and I get 144hz on mostly high settings, but even when lower the game looks great, at least compared to my xbox. Dont upgrade, unless you really want to. If so you would need to upgrade the cpu and gpu together, and if you are staying on Intel or switching to AMD, motherboard and maybe ram on top, and since power consumption is often higher now, maybe a Power supply as well. With the gpu, cpu and almost all technology shortages right now, I would wait, and just try lowering some of the non game ending settings, like shadows and effects, keeping view distance and the 3D settings ON, so you can still see enemies, and have fun.     thanks for the help, but i am doing CPU intensive tasks, its just annoying since in my it also spikes the thermals, from 40-45 degrees up to 60-65 degrees for a second, and then returns, its annoying since the fans ramp up and down every second, i tried to fix it by changing my fan curves, but it still sucks... I would rather it to stay at 3.8 GHz when at idle or with light tasks like word processing or YouTube, and boost up to 4.3GHz when under load like when exporting a video in Premiere Pro...

    sorry for the late reply's... ive had a lot of school... so ya i have icue, that's probably it, since im pretty sure when i got it that's when it started... the thing is even when the software is not running it happens. i know when you quit apps there are parts that still run, just even when i stop the applications in task manager it doesn't do anything

    I have a Ryzen 5 3600x (base 3.8ghz boost 4.3ghz) in CPUID and task manager, the cpu clocks are constantly at 4.15ghz to 4.3ghz, even when not under load. WHY??!!!! In the bios, and task manger it says the base speed is 3.8ghz, and i have reset the cmos, and taken out the battery multiple times. Have not overclocked since, and it still wont down clock back to the base frequency even when under no load. There is nothing major in the background, and even on the desktop, it is still turboing, Please help -also, my temps are not great, even tho i have an aio, mounted it multiple times, and have lots of air. When some browser tabs are open, the temps are around 45-65 degrees. This is not my problemb, but i think it is related.
