  1. above the PWR_LED label there's an LED that flickers red. What should I do?
  2. Lol I just came back to report the same thing but you beat me to it. Thanks for your help. So I'll look around at other cases in case there's something I might prefer more. Thanks a ton for your help and advice.
  3. How can I tell if my case is big enough to accommodate my internal components?
  4. Are you sure?? I checked the maximum video card length in the HAF's specs and it was fine.. And looking at videos of this case, it seems really huge.
  5. INTENDED USE Editing 4K footage for a local film, max settings 144fps Ultrawide gaming, VR gaming. BUDGET Less than 2,000 **USD** POTENTIAL BUILD I already have a 1080p 144hz monitor, Win7, Keyboard, Mouse. I plan to upgrade to a higher resolution ultrawide when prices are better. The movie I'm editing has 4K footage, but will be rendered in 1080p. If there's any advice or comments you guys can give me, I'd be most grateful.
  6. The last guy to help me out changed it to that from the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, saying "The 212 EVO might be a bit weak for these CPUs. Couldn't find the TDP of the 212 EVO in the product page but the CPUs are rated 140W and the TRUE Spirit 140 POWER is rated for 360W." After much more research on coolers sufficient to keep the i7 6800k at a decent temp, I've replaced it with a Noctua NH-D15S. Now on to PSUs. I've gotten to the point now where I'm researching each and every part individually instead of relying on other people to optimize this build for me. After I've done everything I can and come up with a build with which I'm completely confident, I'll revisit this forum. Thank you all so much for your support.
  7. I actually had the i7 6800k in my first build, but a redditor at /r/buildapc changed it for me, saying "Some X99 motherboards may need a BIOS update to support Broadwell-E CPUs. Went with the cheaper option and switched to a fully supported Haswell-E instead." Should I keep the i7 6800k and change the motherboard then? I don't want to ask too much of you guys, but feel free to make the changes to the list. I can't tell if I'm choosing the right parts.
  8. I kinda am in a rush, as filming is nearing it's end and editing will begin very soon. I already have a SanDisk 240GB SSD I'll be using to run the OS; The HDD in the build is for file storage. Is that going to be fine?
  9. I actually had that one in my first build, but a redditor at /r/buildapc changed it for me, saying "Some X99 motherboards may need a BIOS update to support Broadwell-E CPUs. Went with the cheaper option and switched to a fully supported Haswell-E instead. There's almost no difference on paper and little difference in performance. " As for the Graphics card, you're saying I should do the 2-way SLI with two 980tis? This purchase is a one-time thing.
  10. I've come into a role recently that has me editing a local film. Family has decided to buy me a computer as a gift for the job. The film group began shooting in 4K, but changed to 1080p halfway through, so I need a computer than can edit 4K footage. I would also like to do serious gaming on it. I'd also like to be VR ready. I've asked what my budget on this system is, claiming a 4K editing build may run over $1500 USD and they said "Just find out what would be perfect for you and we'll see what we can do." I've presented them with the following build and they gave me the go ahead to buy it. I wanted to keep it at a good value, but I need it to have no problem doing anything. Choosing parts seems the most daunting thing I've ever done. I've learned that a 4k video editing build needs a great processor and a healthy amount of RAM so I went big on those.. My biggest fear is buying all these parts and having some small mistake or oversight ruin everything. I also worry about having a build that's not perfectly optimized, having certain parts more powerful and other parts bottle-necking the performance. I already have a copy of Win7 that I've activated on maybe 3 computers so far with no problem. Should I go for Win10 or just continue with my Win7? If you have any suggestions, advice, anything will help. Thank you so much.
  11. I originally found Linus' videos by looking up video reviews on mice and keyboards. I remember watching his video on the Razer Ouroboros thinking how much I enjoyed watching him thoroughly review it and how nice that kitchen was.. After coming across his channel multiple times from searching for reviews on products I was interested in, I subscribed! I'm glad I did.
  12. My favorite thing about the G3 is that amazing high resolution!
  13. I'm very interested in 3D Printing and VR, but I like the idea of these new extended display screens. I feel like it's a lot more immersing yet more reasonable way to game!
  14. It's a giveaway! I hope I win.. ;} My favorite thing about the HTC M8 is the fact that it is a phone and I don't have one. I also like how it takes such beautiful photos and videos with nice sound quality. Definitely something I need in a phone!
