  1. Have a look at this video to understand how AMD calculates power figures and what to expect when using PBO.
  2. S23 Ultra user here. You can see the attached screenshot for the RAM usage. Most of the RAM remains unused. PS: I do have RAM plus turned on and set to 8GB. Also I don't really play games at all.
  3. Since the 13980HX is an unlocked chip, XTU would definitely work to overclock it.
  4. Yeah, RAM usage seems fine and the idle temps are also okay since this laptop runs passively without turning on the fans till it hits heavy and constant workloads. If you think the high temperatures are being sustained then you can download HWinfo64 and have the Tdie temp sensor monitoring turned on in the background and go about your daily use. You can check the graph of the temps and see if you notice any weird spikes.
  5. Was this during a gaming workload? Your GPU core is 97% loaded which means it was being used for 3D workload. In that case your laptop's thermal solution does not seem capable of handling the 5900HS and the 3070 together. As a last resort, have you ensured all the drivers are updated? AMD chipset drivers Nvidia graphics drivers BIOS updates for your laptop. Please confirm this.
  6. Can you share this same screenshot after changing from performance profile to Windows in Armoury Crate?
  7. Try to stop Windows Update from installing the Intel Display Driver. It installs a really outdated version of the driver. You can download and use the software "wushowhide". It's a bit difficult to find but try anyway. You can stop Windows from updating the driver using this. Download and install the latest Intel display driver from Intel's website after uninstalling the present driver. Restart and then let me know if the issue persists. Let me know if you need the wushowhide executable. I can share it with you if can't find it.
  8. Are the thermal pads used the same thickness as the stock ones?
  9. What serial number and timings do the sticks have? It should be there on the back of the pack.
  10. 4.6 GHz boost is usually for single core boosting. If you're running V-Ray it's probably using more than 1 thread of the CPU. Open Task Manager go to the CPU graph in the Performance tab and change the graph to Logical processors by right clicking on the CPU graph. Here you'll see how many threads are loaded up once you start a V-Ray render. If all threads are loaded then 4.2 GHz is actually pretty good.
  11. The 8GB one comes with 8GB soldered on the motherboard and you can add upto another 32 GB of RAM on a single stick.
  12. Ohh.. Is your Armoury Crate the latest updated version? Attached pic shows the latest version. Also btw my G14 is the Ryzen 7 5800HS + GTX 1650 version.
