  2. Having an issue with the memory in my HP Z400. CPUZ seems to be reporting the speed at 400MHz, despite the sticker on the ram advertising a higher speed. wouldn't be a very big deal, but some more memory bandwidth should help in Overwatch, so I've read.
  3. that was my mistake, before I noticed the price difference
  4. It's cheaper than a locked core i7, so not a bad deal compared to that https://pcpartpicker.com/product/C9hj4D/intel-core-i7-8700-32ghz-6-core-processor-bx80684i78700 You should also remember that a B365 motherboard will only let you use ram up to 2666MHz
  5. finally figured out how to edit my signature

  6. can you share a parts list?
  7. for only 1920x1080, the 1650 super will not disappoint.
  8. The 1660 super has pretty good value by itself, so even if you get a little bottleneck, I still think you should get it.
  9. The 1650 super is not vastly more powerful than the 780. You'd not face any issues.
  10. She has found her forever home, and she's stunning
  11. what function of the card do you intend to test? do you want to run a stress test, or just see if it outputs video?
  12. looks I made a bit of a blunder, the eBay listing says that it's ECC but apparently it is not otherwise totalwidth would be larger. Either way, not gonna complain, too late for a refund but ECC is not important to me
  13. Used 8700s run you even more than the new prices, there's no easy way to do a drop in replacement for your current CPU so you should consider switching to AMD if getting more cores for cheap is important to you. Either that, or hope the prices come own in the future.
  14. yes, an 8 core cpu like youve chosen is great fo that. you should also consider the ryzen 7 3700x, might be cheaper for you.

  17. you can always check the manual for your motherboard, it should be online and it should say what the right way is to clear the cmos
  18. Did you reset the BIOS? usually there's a button r something on the motherboard that says "Clear CMOS"

It has fast ram for Ryzen, and a pretty stylish case and motherboard, if you don't mind black and red.
  20. I don't think you should worry too much. If it happens again soon, you should consider seeing if something is defective, but if it works, it works.
