  1. AMD Ryzen is a pretty good alternative to a Z390 motherboard in my opinion. A Ryzen 5 3600 is less than $200!
  2. I used to use a GTX 1060 alongside my current RX 570 for folding, was detected automatically. You may need to take some extra steps when you get rid of the 560, though.
  3. looks like amazon doesn't have the best prices either, unfortunately.
  4. The stock cooler of the Ryzen 5 3600X is the wraith spire, which is a good cooler by itself. If you are planning to overclock, a new cooler might be worthwhile, but that all depends on how much cash you're willing to part with.
  5. unfortunately that site you linked is super slow on my PC, and google translate isn't helping me read it. If you can, look for a 970 Evo and a GTX 1650 super, then this PC will be even better. As for monitor, I don't have any specific recommendations, any monitor with a large enough screen and an IPS panel should be worth considering.
  6. I must say, the prices are not great for portugal, if pcpartpicker.com is anything to go by. Squeezing a fast SSD and some cheap-but-good components here and there barely puts the build out of budget. That shipping cost is brutal, almost 220 euros! 7. memory allocation is dynamic on consoles, you'll notice that this is the same for current gen consoles too, like the Xbox one, where the CPU and GPU share memory.
  8. DDR4 3200 CL16 actually has the same latency as DDR4 3000 CL15, 10 nanoseconds.
  9. Looks real solid! However, I can't recommend building a PC without an SSD, they're wicked fast. The power supply does also seem a little too pricey.
  10. seens really expensive for just a 650 watt 80+ gold affair. Isn't the Corsair TX650M close to $100?
  11. An RX 5700 would probably be the best option for you. I hope you have a good CPU and power supply to accompany it! https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/77TzK8/powercolor-radeon-rx-5700-8-gb-video-card-axrx-5700-8gbd6-3dhoc
  12. I would say that the Athlon is a great choice, although the motherboard compatibility is important. I believe MSI makes an A320 MAX motherboard, which would be compatible. Although, if you had another way to guarantee compatibility, like a friend lending a CPU for an update, that would work quite well. I also recommend some dual channel memory, hopefully you have plans to use more than 4GB, since it will improve performance quite a lot. 2666 is about the lowest I'd pair with a Ryzen CPU like that 3000G. Fortunately, you can sell your GT 730, since the integrated graphics would be as good or better.
  13. You'd have to experiment yourself to see what works.
  14. Just by looking, the cooler seems like it should be doing better, but 78C is also not that bad. You could check and make sure the thermal paste is making good coverage, if you want.
  15. No paste, but temps only up to 78C? I would think they'd be even higher if it was paste free. Of course, @probablydumb didn't tell us what cooler is in use.
  16. This video seems to come in handy for performance figures. Looks like it's a tiny bit better than a GTX 1050 TI, quite a nice upgrade from that GTX 750. It's pretty power hungry, though.
  17. Wow, 100 posts already, and a folding badge! Time sure flies.

  18. yes, socket pressure is important for all the pins to make proper contact.
  19. it's possible that the driver that device manager finds could work a little better. I used that to get really basic drivers for my 1060 when I was using it for folding, might give a different result. I know it's not usually recommended but in this case it's worth a try.
  20. what different ways have you tried to get drivers?
  21. You should list the exact model of your power supply, so that we know what you're using.
  22. Any H110 motherboard should work fine with 6th gen Intel. Pcpartpiker.com seems to agree. PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/n8ndpg CPU: Intel Core i7-6700 3.4 GHz Quad-Core Processor ($349.99 @ B&H) Motherboard: MSI H110M PRO-D Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Total: $349.99 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-03-30 15:07 EDT-0400 Although, kind of expensive for such a basic motherboard, are you buying it from Amazon?
  23. The wattage is certainly more than enough. however, the transient power draw of Vega cards causes voltage spikes that create huge problems for cheaper PSU models like EVGA's bronze units. @LukeSavenije, creator of the tier list, can probably advise quite well here.
  24. Sorry, misread. Unfortunately, that power supply would also be an ill pairing for such a graphics card. Have you checked out the PSU tier list? it can shed some light on better choices.
  25. Did you replace the power supply in that Dell? An older, OEM PSU would not pair so well with a Vega graphics card.
