  1. Ah got it! I will try to make a vent on the cabinet to improve the flow, thank you!
  2. Yeah that was my concern, I will have to dig around to see the best configuration to have the best airflow possible
  3. Thank you for advising me to search for that because I actually forgot to do that beforehand! Ok so I will investigate a bit further how can I improve airflow in and out of the case, probably I will drill some holes in the cabinet to make it happen!
  4. I've check the CPU support list of the motherboard and it supports the 5500 without the BIOS flashback so I don't think it will be a problem, PCPartPicker would also alert if BIOs checks would be needed if i recall correctly
  5. Ok so what is the best way to cool it? An AIO would perform better in this case?
  6. Those are nice combos thank you! I have only 2 questions: In your opinion does it make a difference to switch from R5 5500 to R5 5600? I saw on UserBenchmark that the performance difference is only 8% and the specs are almost identical. As for the GPU the RX 6650XT is indeed a better choice! I have just one question. Will I feel any change in terms of rendering or gaming? I've only used NVIDIA GPUs till today and I don't know how the AMD GPUs are nowadays.
  7. Budget (including currency): 650€ Country: Portugal Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Some AAA games (Shadow of the Tomb Raider), light photo and video editing, deskwork in general Other details: No peripherals needed as it's an upgrade from another build. No storage also needed because I will repurpose the disk from the dead laptop (recently upgraded from hdd to ssd) Hey everyone, I need some feedback for a build that will be serving as a base for future upgrades. My laptop had fried and I've decided it was cheaper to build a desktop instead of spending the double of the money on a new laptop. I've created this build and I wanted your opinion about it in terms of component compatibility and if the cooling solution will be enough to the PC be inside a desk cabinet with poor ventilation. My concerns is that the stock cooler won't withstand that poor ventilation so I would appreciate more feedback about the cooling solutions! 8. Found it, it's a Broadcom 4313GN 802.11 b/g/n WiFi adapter. Hmm I can't check now because I'm not in his place.. I might do it, that way picks everything to that computer, not repurpose drivers
  9. Not sure, the windows only displays as "Network adapter 802.11n broadcom", I do have photos of the wifi card, but doesn't have model in it (or I can't see it where) To the router itself, im not sure what is the channel and channel width (but if I had to guess it it tried in channel 11, 20 and 40MHz), but all settings are default, in 2.4GHz Just moved the HDD, windows 8 then fetched the drivers to the new laptop Yes, twice
  10. [I'm aware this is a duplicate from the Laptops & Pre-Builts] Hi, My father-in-law received an old laptop and decided to use it as his main computer. The laptop is in apparenly good conditions, however it didn't have any HDD. Luckily I had a broken laptop with an 320gb HDD with windows 8.1 there, so I plugged it in, and booted up just perfectly. The thing is when connecting to the home's wi-fi it always show "Network Limited" and can't access the Internet, but by Ethernet it works just fine. I tried with my phone's hotspot and worked fine also. I tried to update the drivers, replace the wi-fi card with the other from the broken laptop (it didn't like that, fans ramped to 100%), reset the ipconfig via commands: ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew ip config /flushdns and followed this tutorial: https://www.lifewire.com/resolve-connectivity-errors-in-windows-818232 Nothing worked... Any ideia on what could that be?

  12. So a friend of mine bought a HP elitedesk 705 G2 and wants to upgrade the GPU, he has a GT710 but wanted to put something better and affordable. But we can't find the clearance that the case has for GPUs, if any If you have one of these or know the dimensions the GPU can have care to share?
