  1. It's not dust. I'm asking, What Brand/Model are the GPU/Monitors. Is it HDMI 1.4/2.0 DP 1.2/1.4 the GPU/Monitor/Cable? And I asked, did you re-seated the card,at least/ did you do a clean windows install/ did you install newest drivers. And OCCT, is not good god all mighty, it wont tell you everything, a bad port, monitor, etc. THIS you gotta figure out on your self.
  2. Hi everyone. So I have this old 17" Dell Inspiron N7010, that I'm trying to upgrade, but with no success. I want to add more RAM and a SSD. It currently has 4GB of DDR3, 1x stick Samsung 2GB 1333MHz, 1x Patriot(Nanya) 2GB 1333Mhz, they work in dual channel and that's how I bought it from DELL, I never knew the sticks ware different until when I opened it. The sticks are running at 1066MHz, somehow? - I bought new Corsair MAC memory 2x4 GB@1066, one of the sticks turn out to be faulty, but the other one worked just fine, I returned the faulty one, but they had no replacement, so I returned the working stick as well. - I bought new Corsair (VALUESELECT) 2x 4GB@1600 MHz, thinking it will default at 1066MHz, I was wrong. When I enter the BIOS it says that they run at 1600MHz. - The CPU is i3 370M, Max memory size is 8GB, clocked at 1066Mhz MAX. So everything out side of the BIOS, is not working. When I self diagnose, it freezes at some point, when i memtest, freezes, when I try loading windows, it restarts. My question is, can I do something to make the memory run at 1066MHz? Like the two 1333 sticks. In the BIOS all most everything is locked, except, TIME DATE, and some CPU features, I can put BIOS, pictures if someone is interested. Thanks in advance. P.S.: Should I buy some ddr3@1333MHz to see if it will default @1066MHz?
  3. Well, change the cable, and the monitor if you can. What you using HDMI, DP, what Monitor/GPU. At this point could be anything, the port on the GPU,the port on the Monitor. Could be the Monitors panel, etc. Swap from HDMI to DP or vice versa. Did you re-seated the card, windows, drivers?
  4. When did it stop bugging, what did you do? Like think of what you touched, if anything. The warranty is tricky, like If the bug doesn't show right away, no one will put in the time or the effort to re-create it. Only if it happens in a certain scenario, which is easy to re-create, even then, not 100% guarantee they'll replace it. I didn't know you have a warranty, so IF you flash the bios, don't tell the warranty guy!!! And you must know that, YOU CAN BRICK, your card by flashing the BIOS. Do it only as a last resort, if the problem persists, or gets worse and they won't replace your card. And to make sure, it's hardware issue, clean install of windows, Re-seating the card and latest drivers(not beta). And if it happens again, record it with your phone, and tell the warranty guy what you did, and send him the video.
  5. So, first things first, the highest you can go for a CPU, is 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen, so what you have as a CPU will only be upgradable by the highest Ryzen 9 3950x, because for games, the cores, above 4-6 don't matter that much, only the clock speed. And the highest Ryzen 9 3rd gen, with its 16cores, will keep its price for a wale. 2 Years wait for a good deal, on a 3k NV or 6k AMD, I think is reasonable. But yeah, basically, in 2 years time you'll need a new MB/CPU, no point in upgrading the current. The 1660 TI will handle 1080p, at higher setting, for 1440p it might struggle with the latest AAA titles, but with a bit less eye candy should be fine. Bottom line, get a descent 1080p monitor, nothing fancy, because a 1440p High Refresh G-synk, won't look good, with 60-70 FPS@1440p, or god forbid 144p@1080p. O and don't cheap out on PSU, don't take 1000watts either, but currently this build doesen't need more than 500-550W, if you aim for 3060/70 then 650-750W.
  6. Hi there. Had similar problem, long time ago with, little before GTX series. Mine started showing yellow squares, when alt+tab, and every time it switched resolution, briefly. Then the squares become green, then yellow and green. The problem started happening, more and more often. Until I bought a new card. I don't remember if I flashed the bios, but it turned out to be memory related, mine was out of warranty, but the card never died, crashed or restarted PC. That little fighter . If the card is under warranty, return it. If not, go here: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/ find your card, very specifically, Brand/Model/Model specific/ revision/etc. And see some guides, how to flash your GPU. Hope this will help.
  7. What are you gonna use it for? In my opinion is a great MID-Tier, last(last) summer PC. Just the DDR4 3866 OC, is misleading a bit, but otherwise is very good, again for MID-Tier. If its a deal get it, because I don't think, GPU shortages will be over, in the next few months. But if this will effect the budget of your NEW PC....
  8. Do you ask in general as a line up, or you have specific models in mind? If you ask in general, all you gonna get is, "Imma fanboy of this" and "Imma fanboy" of that. If you want a detailed answer, what you gonna use it for? What models? What budget, so on.
  9. Hi I haven't heard anything good about TP-Link, except that they are CHEAP. But, for example, a similar Asus router(AC1200, MU-MIMO, a USB port something that Archer C6 lacks) will be double the price, at least. Take a look at ASUS, Linksys, routers available in your region, that are AC1200-1300 with MU-MIMO. And, NO 1200mbps is not an overkill, a friend had the Archer C6, and he achieved something like 190mbps, router in the same room. 40Mbps is the bare minimum, for 5 devices only streaming @1080p, if someone goes 4K, you're internet will be gone. For gaming, wired connection. Not that games are so demanding, but you don't need that + 5ms to 10ms(best case scenario @5GHz). Bottom line, don't go cheap, that's my advice. If you're not planing to put OpenWRT on it.
  10. So earlier today everything was fine, disabled my cable connection to my Huawei HG8245H and connected via my Asus PCE-N15, no problems what so ever. Now, when I try to connect, I get: "Can't connect to this network" message. I've restarted the PC, the Router, uninstalled my drivers, "forgot" the network in widows. My PS4 and phone connect to the Wi-Fi without a problem. The only thing that I can remember doing is, disable the startup of SMMonitor and Loging-in, in the HG8245H (without touching anything). Weird thing is that programs like NetSpot and WiFi Analyzer still work, on my adapter, I just can't connect to my Wi-Fi. Any suggestions? PS: I'm on widows 10 Pro Edit: Just tested it on my Laptop, connects with no problem on Windows 7 Edit 2: Sometimes when I try to connect, it asks for the password 2 times. Like I entered it wrong and I'm sure I type it right. Edit 3: Tried connecting to a different WiFi network, and it worked. Seems that i cant connect just to my Huawei HG8245H.
