Your cpu might get bottleneck over there cus the 4070 ti is like a beast (no it’s still worse than the 3070 ti) so I’ll recommend the i7-12700 or the i5-13600k and a z motherboard.

Also for the cooler, I’ll choose the cooler master ML240, which is fairly cheap currently and efficient enough.

You can keep using your old PSU btw, assuming you can get enough power for the GPU.

oof that 6600k.. 😄  I had to swap my 9900k@5.1ghz all core because it was bottlenecking my 4080 quite hard. The 13500 will be a massive upgrade over the 6600k.

Hi bro, i am from Singapore. Just bought the 4070 ti. exact situation as u.

    my specs are,

    8700k overclocked to 5ghz
    Gigabyte Z370XP SLI motherboard
RAM Gskill dominator DDR4 3200mhz running in xmp mode
PSU = EVGA 650 watt non modular ( not sure the actual model )

i am using a gtx 1080 ti previously and my fps is about 250 to 300+ playing on 21:9 1440P ultrawide
swap to the rtx 4070 ti now, and my fps is still the same. I should expect it to go upwards of 500 to 700 to be honest but it has similar performance to my 1080ti..sometimes dropping to 100+ fps

Not sure what is the issue.

Already ran DDU and uninstall all display drivers and reinstall.

    That is a fair question
    Nvidia did a goof
For no good reason, there is significant CPU overhead with the Ampere drivers that has gotten a touch worse with lovelace. So you run into the exception of Faster GPU = less FPS in very niche situations.
Normally its not something to worry about.
    Still isnt really.

    Try changing the API (vulkan/DX9/DX11/DX12)
See which one works best for your configurataion. Vulkan and dx12 are the ones that have the overhead issues iirc.
Otherwise, you can always just turn up eye candy and not lose fps.

Fiveros reacted to tkitch in Hello, i am thinking about buying RTX 4070 Ti, some people say it's good , some people not, bcs of the price idk, i want to know is it good to buy it?
So, ignoring any and all flamebatey stuff above me:

    Currently you'd be comparing a 7900 XT vs a 4070 TI

So, here's the real criteria to consider:

    1) Do you want to run games with Ray Tracing enabled all the time?  If yes:  Buy NVidia
    2) Do you run apps (AI Learning, 3D Rendering, and similar apps) that are CUDA Enabled?  If yes:  Buy NVidia
    3) Are you gaming / streaming and just want the best framerates?  Get the 7900 XT

The 7900 XT w 20GB RAM will be overall better for gaming than the 4070 TI is, at about the same price.

I mean that is just powerline for you. If there is electrical interference they lose signal to each other. It can be as simple as a random desk lamp being plugged in somewhere that causes this.

Also those tp link ones do degrade quite quickly. They don't tend to last too long before they start having a bunch of issues.
