  1. I have plenty of RAM and I don't think that has any influence on my router situation...
  2. Ok… I’d rule out the overheating one because playing games and downloading large files for multiple hours outside of chrome doesn’t trigger this crash… it strictly happens when using chrome… How is chrome different than any of those other tasks?
  3. Ok... it's definetely not my browser that crashes so it must be related to my router then... What can cause a router to crash?
  4. For at least the past month now, whenever I use google chrome for more than a couple minutes, my whole internet just crashes. Not just on my computer but the router seems to just reset itself. I can play online games for hours and no signs of slowdown or instability are present. I even tried live-streaming to youtube but everything was fine. It usually happens when I open chrome and start browsing the web and watching youtube videos that the internet crashes… I am connected through a cat6 cable directly into my router and when the internet is up, the speeds are as high as they can get for where I live. It’s also not like I have a mind blowing fast internet that my router couldn’t handle because my ISP only offers 120mbs down and 10mbs up in my area… If anyone has any advices or clues as to what is happening I would gladly appreciate the help… Anthony

  6. I am not looking for higher than 240 fps but I just want to get the most out of my 240hz monitor... so yeah I think I am pretty convinced at buying the 5600x... Do you think selling my 2600 is still worth it?
  7. Idk if I want to change my memory because it has been working fine and with all the price fluctuations of the pandemic I am not sure if I’ll get a good deal on them...
  8. I actually never thought that was possible and in terms of price I see a 5600x that’s selling for 430 canadian dollars which I think is a pretty good deal
  9. I would agree with you but except for some video editing and some Blender, cores aren’t that big of a concern for me but I see what you mean
  10. I currently have a R5 2600 clocked to 4.1ghz on a B450m steel legend and 16gb of 3200mhz ram. I also have an rtx 2060 super as my GPU. I mostly play fortnite at low settings to try and reach the 240 fps that my monitor manages to push out. I am unfortunately not hitting that target consistently when in-game. I obviously know the culprit, my cpu. I also notice a huge spike in input delay while streaming even with the Nvenc encoder making wonders. I have my eyes on the r5 5600x because of its superb single core performance but I am not sure if it’s the right time to upgrade. This is probably the last generation of supported cpu’s on my motherboard so I don’t know if I should wait for next gen and upgrade my motherboard at the same time... I just wanted to get your guy’s opinion on my situation and get some recommendations if any cross your minds. Thanks Anthony
  11. Link I found this monitor on canada computer and it was on a big sale. (Price in CAD) I haven't found a lot of reviews on it wanted to get some of your opinions. Thanks in advance! Anthony
  12. Ok so I tried running 3000mhz and didn’t get any crashes. I then tried 3200mhz and after about 20 minutes I got a BSOD (KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED) and it says that nvlddmkm.sys has failed...
  13. I've tried running 1.4v and the game crashed in the first minute... I went back to 1.35v and managed to play about 5 minutes before it crashed... Not sure what I am supposed to do anymore...
  14. I thought that 1,350v was already high for DDR4 memory... What voltage would you recommend?
  15. Ok so I updated my BIOS to 2.50 and tried the XMP profile again. I launched my game and played a couple of games without any issues. I then left my game open for about 3 hours to see if it'll crash but it didn't so I closed the game out. I tried running Cinebench and everything was fine. Unfortunately, when I came back in the evening to play some games, my game crashed after about 45 minutes and when I launched it back up it would consistently crash. So I am back to square 1... I tried running it again this morning and got a different type of error which I never encountered before. It says I ran out of video memory which is completely dumb because I have an RTX 2060 SUPER with 8gb of GDDR6 memory and Fortnite is such a low GPU intensive game (especially at low settings and 1080p)…
