  1. Hiya friends, My partner has been trying to plug their Onn. Roku TV 100012590 its the 24in model, they're wanting to set it up with using their TV as a 2nd monitor, but when they plug their TV into their PC it doesn't recognize it, its a ibuypower prebuilt PC, they tried plugging it into both the motherboard and the GPU but its not recognizing it in either place, everything says it should work just fine as a monitor, but the tv won't recognize the pc and visa versa, I'm pretty sure the GPU is a 1660; They've tried it also in the other HDMI ports on the ROKU TV and still nothing. Any help would be appreciated, Thank you!
  2. This is my whole office setup, both my PC and just my office in general, the PC Specs are Ryzen 9 3900X ASUS ROG STRIX X 470 F Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200mhz DDR4 EVGA 2080 FTW3 NZXT H7 Flow 1 X WD 1TB HDD 2 X Seagate 2TB HDD 1 Silicon Power 256gb SSD 1 WD Blue 500GB NVME EVGA 850 BQ LG 27GN800-B Ultragear Gaming Monitor 27" QHD Acer KG241Q Pbiip 23.6" Full HD (1920 x 1080) TN 144Hz Samsung A6 Tablet The laptop below is the 4th display and I'll put more about that down below Cooling Cooler Master Hyper 212 6 Deep Cool ARGB 120MM Fans (3 On rad, 1 in the back, 2 on top.) Logitech G915TKL Logitech G502 Lightspeed Scarlet Focus Rite Solo Audio-Technica AT2020 Logitech G535 Wireless Operating System Windows 11 The laptop is an MSI GF63 it is the I5 1550ti variant great gaming laptop tbh but I use it more as an extra display For the tablet and the laptop I use a program that I highly recommend to people called Space-desk, its a display over network service that's completely free for commercial use, and with my internet connection it does super well, and I have never really had any connectivity issues except for when Space-desk has an update available, but once the update is done its right back, I've got it going constantly too, and it hasn't put much weight on my bandwidth, the resolution is dependent on the device you're using as a display, sorry this is starting to sound like I'm shilling but either way I highly recommend checking it out, it works amazingly well and I've never seen a better solution for this, and it doesn't seem to put a whole lot of load on the PC either. My wallpapers are all through Wallpaper Engine, and I also use Steel series Sonar for audio management when I'm streaming and while it doesn't have any shortcuts for the stream deck its super easy to set up macros that handle my volume mix and there's a great streamer mode but I haven't really touched it much. The little tabletop arcade cabinet, is running a Pandora's Box DX that was a huge upgrade from the Pandora's Box 4, I'm currently sitting at like 1003 games but its not been used in a while due to needing a new power supply and the cabinet itself needing some work I have a HTC Vive for my VR setup and recently I purchased the Index controllers as I'm slowly looking to turn my vive setup to an index one now that I have the knowledge that I can use the index with the vive light houses, I mostly just use it for VRChat and Blades and Sorcery. I also have a Thrustmaster steering wheel and pedal set that I use to play Assetto Corsa so like if anyone wants to teach me to be better at racing in AC I'd appreciate it because I'm pretty awful. Ummm my current primary browser is Opera GX but I'm probably switching back to Firefox because I've been using it more and more lately and lastly the chair is a Serta Executive and it is better then any gaming chair I've ever sat in especially as someone on the big and tall spectrum.
  3. Did that and will see I also saw somewhere that GSync can some times cause the issue, so I've turned that off as well
  4. I tried it a second ago and it still did it, but I'd assume a restart is probably needed
  5. Found this on Nvidia's website is this guide something that would work? It downloads a registry thing but its from Nvidia's own people https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5157/~/after-updating-to-nvidia-game-ready-driver-461.09-or-newer%2C-some-desktop-apps
  6. What is that and where would I go to do that?
  7. So as my title says I upgraded my GPU about a year or two ago, and for some reason I can't multitask, like I can't watch Youtube videos in the background without stuttering or buffering. This wasn't always the case and I used to do this absolutely all the time, and my build isn't something that struggles with the games themselves usually, I'll put my specs below. It doesn't matter what settings or how new or old the game is, it does it with Far Cry 3, GTA V, Baldur's Gate III, Eville pretty much anything that's not like League of Legends or like something simple IE Coloring Pixels or Minecraft(sometimes) I've tried DDU many times, I've tried changing video settings, and I'm just not sure what else to try. I have even tried closing like any background programs I've also tried like Borderless Windowed to see if that does anything VS full screen, my monitors are all over the place in terms of resolution but I don't know that it should matter. My main monitor is 1440P 144HZ and my actual side monitor is 1080 144hz, they're both plugged in via Display Port I've tried clearing my drives to see if maybe its something to do with the fact that I'm 100% a data hoarder and fill my drives regularly, and it also happens no matter what drive the game on and that is both on my HDDs, my m.2 drive and my SATA SSD Specs Below: EVGA FTW3 2080 Ryzen 9 3900X Corsair Vengeance 32GBs of 3200mhz DDR4 w/PBO, so its running at full speed ROG STRIX X 470 F Coolermaster Hyper212 Power Supply EVGA 850 BQ Drives: Now I have quite a few USB devices plugged in but again that's not much different really then before now, I also use a program called Space desk that lets me use a laptop and a tablet as monitors, highly recommend it honestly, but again something that has never been an issue because I've always used Space Desk between multiple GPUs and when my CPU wasn't great. So I'm not sure what it could be that's causing it. Oh I'm on Windows 11 Insider Edition But again been on insider edition not long after it came out and haven't always had this problem when I was on a 5700XT and the same CPU Its also not been the entire time I've been on the 2080 just within the last year or so. So I hope I didn't over explain but I figured too much information is better then none, also if there is a better place to post this let me know!
  8. I don't really know where to post this and its mostly just me getting thoughts out on the whole situation.

For me and Idk about a lot of you LTT was kinda my comfort channel, like I would log off work everyday, for quite literally the last 4-5 years, especially during Covid, and watch whatever new video they put out, didn't matter what it was or who was in it, and I mean with like 5 channels to watch stuff on, if I didn't wanna watch something on the main channel I could check out Short Circuit or like LMG Clips even, or something, like it was quite literally just my "I'm off work and I can watch this to wind down, and do a lot of nothing important" type channel, and prior, they never really ran into any controversies that mattered to me or anything that was important, or would sway my opinions of LMG, and this here recently has opened my eyes to the realization that I mean any part of Youtube can always have some kind of issues, some not so great things going on, etc...

After this craziness, I want to believe a lot of it is quite literally a result of going from a company with what? 30 people? to a company that now had 100 people, and an integration of the Floatplane staff and creating a lab for testing different things like LMG a year ago was big yes but it definitely didn't feel as big as it is now. Like I want to give them some benefit of the doubt that like this is something that's going to open everyones eyes, especially the upper management of LMG, I believe everyone has the ability to fix their shit and do better.

I don't know how I feel about Steve's video, I personally believe that maybe it'll serve as like a wake up call, I wanna be honest that I haven't watched it, but I get the gist of it, and I hope that again it'll be a wake up, it'll make Linus and LMG open their eyes and be more aware of things, and maybe this re-evaluation of things will do them some good.

I did read Madison's tweet and her experience is totally valid and not how things should be handled in any job or work place, the bullying again not okay, so maybe that goes along with them re-evaluating things, and how they treat and work with their social media team now, I hope Madison's new job or whatever she ends up doing goes great, and I hope that LTT truly does what they say and take Madison's words to heart and if stuff like that does happen at LMG, they fix it.

I have no plans to like leave the forum or the discord, or stop watching LTT(for now, of course if things keep happening I'd stop but they've made it this far without anything major so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt), I mean I want to believe a company that went from uploading almost daily if not daily, in some way shape or form, like taking a week from uploading actually means that they'll take to like actually fixing themselves, I hope the "What Do We Do Now" video, wasn't just generic youtuber apology, and I'm glad they tried to keep it light hearted because I'd feel less likely to believe them if they did keep it complete somber and tears, things being scripted doesn't really change much, each person could have written something but there is not really much of a way to know for sure.

So yeah just needed to get some thoughts out

  9. Does it usually fix it when you switch back to the dac or to the audio source you were using?
  10. So my partner has a pair of Skull Candy Hush 2s that they use on their PC, but here lately they've been having an issue where the sound of everything is too loud, like to the point of it being painfully loud, or if they turn it down they're super inaudible, they also cannot connect to another pair of speakers because what they connect to is super quiet. This has been going on for like around the last week, doesn't have any windows updates that may be causing the issue, they are on Windows 11, their PC is a iBuyPower and they are connected via Bluetooth, they don't have an aux cable to see if it is something with Bluetooth, but is there anything that could be causing this or is there anything that we could check to fix it? We've tried to repairing the headphones, checking the volume mixer, but it still happens and its happened an hour or two into using the pc, a notification will come through and like make everything super lou
  11. So as the title says, what are some programs that you wish you'd have known about when it comes to streaming? I mean outside of OBS, be it like an editing software, something to monitor your audio, something for monitoring a twitch chat, software alternatives to Stream Deck, etc... I mean I don't really have a ton other then of course using OVR Toolkit when streaming VR games and stufff, like i wish I would have known about it a long time ago when I started trying to stream in vr. Best Regards,
  12. Yeah it kinda looks like somebody might have gifted you a membership possibly, I know twitch does a similar thing, maybe not as aggressive as this though.
  13. So I know that sounds kinda silly to purchase a phone with the soul intent of using it as a webcam, but in the long run of things, it seems like phone cameras are awesome for it, and the ability to use a phone as a possible 4K webcam for recording videos and doing live streams sounds wonderful since, I would like a decent webcam. I was considering getting an iPhone X or newer maybe like a used one with a bad IMEI or something, since I don't plan to use it for anything other then the webcam. Also if any of you use a phone as a webcam, can somebody reccomend a good preferably free app for doing so? I'm currently as my personal cellphone using an S20 Ultra and have tried a few different solutions for it, but they all either have a subscription or cost money for the full resolution video. Best Regards,
  14. How is it going gamers? So I recently have changed over from a Rift S to an HTC Vive, I know some wouldn't consider that an upgrade but seeing as the Rift S no longer receives any updates, the controllers, are super expensive to replace just one of, and finding parts to replace things is outrageous, I feel I made a pretty good choice and this base station experience is a major difference and a lot better then what I expected from my previous experience using the Oculus Rift CV1 a few years ago, plus I got a pretty good deal. 150.00USD for the headset, vive controllers, the lighthouses, wall mounts, the pro-audio strap and 2 tripods, that they are both currently on due to me renting and not having the ability to mount them. So now that I'm using a headset that feels a bit more open and that I'm not like locked out of hardware, I was just wondering if any of you guys have some cool stuff you've purchased, or some games you've been playing that you could recommend. I'm eventually looking into getting SlimeVR, I gave stand able a try for the full body estimation, but its kinda garbage and doesn't really seem to work like at all, I realize its still new and in development but its terrible and the lack of an interface is even worse. I'm considering getting the wireless receiver for the Vive as it seems like it would be pretty great to have and my playspace is my office that is not very large at all so I don't even think I'd have to worry with losing connection due to space issues, but I've not really been able to find much information, so is the wireless receiver for the Vive any good? I know its like a first generation product but that doesn't really tell me anything. Eventually since they are compatible I'm looking to upgrade to the knuckles since it seems like they on their own are not horribly priced. Also I'd love to hear some recommendations for more games to give a try, outside of like VRChat, racing sims, and beat saber that I already play a ton of, and other then like OVR Toolkit and OVR Advanced Settings, I'd love some recommendations for your must haves in terms of software Thanks again tech friends!
  15. I like the looks of a lot of it! Can I ask the purpose of the foam tape?
