  1. Pretty good device - would be ideal in a small home situation - especially for cord cutters - who use tv's more like large screens for movies - no need to keep a separate tv - just keep a nice wall empty and use the projector when your in the mood for some content. Cheers.
  2. Hi all, So I have an Asus 23.6 inch monitor. I want to get another monitor and setup dual screens. However I want my old asus monitor in Portrait, rather than landscape. I am looking for some help in finding a big monitor which is near about the length of my old monitor (not height). The image should give an idea how I want to setup. Could someone suggest a monitor to fit this description (The monitor with a "?") Thanks.
  3. I want this mouse because I like it... or not.... dunno .. Can't say before I try it !

  5. No it doesn't ... its the biggest issue with amazon's fire tv range of devices. sigh .. looks like i'll have to get up all the time to adjust volume !
  6. I just woke up !
  7. I mean like something that is sort of a 3.5mm bypass with wireless audio control ? My setup is pretty new so don't want to buy new speakers !
  8. well not really ... the fire stick comes with a basic remote .. basically without the voice function but everything else is the same.
  9. urm ... I am not using a tv ... infact I don't own one either !
  10. Hi guys, I am looking around for some way to remote control my computer speakers. My speakers are hooked onto my 24" monitor, which has an audio out, and audio is fed in by hdmi from my Amazon fire stick ( prime member - got it super cheap when it was launched! ) and would like to lay back on my bed and watch movies/videos. Unfortunately the fire doesn't do audio control, So I need wireless way to control my speakers. possible a cheap and over the counter solution, nothing DIY. Any help would be appreciated ! Thanks !
  11. Could you review this one ? http://ASIN.cc/wBgTpf Its the Acer Aspire V7-482PG-5842 ... for $799 in the US Core i5 4200 ... (4th Gen ? ) 14" Full HD screen + touch 8 gb ram, 500 gb hdd + (reportedly) 24 gb ssd for boot nvidia gt750m seems a nice one for the price ... there might be a newer version of this model ... but this seems to be selling a lot.
  12. I love the fact that this phone has such a long battery life even with bluetooth and wifi on ! Also that even with a skin its silky smooth ! would love to have one like this !
  13. Even I felt that same way ! pretty sure I can get cheaper boards which would do my job ! BTW the Maximus 6 extreme/formula don't do dual x16, they do x8 @harrynowl - No not really ! looking at it now, one 780ti would be the same cost as 2 X 760's ! Plus can always pop in another 780ti when the prices go down @Luckris - I see what you mean building on your comments - having one 780ti makes more sense. But isn't that supposed to be a dual graphics card of some sort ? (meaning its basically 2 cards slapped into one ?) and older chipsets like the x79, would they have any thermal issues ? to be fair, I am most certainly looking for the best bang for the buck, any money saved can always be used elsewhere since I would be buying everything, including monitors and peripherals.
  14. Hi guys I was planning on putting together a workstation grade pc. I work on developing highly parallel software and use CUDA in some on my programs. I would be based in the USA soon and would put together my pc there. I wanted to get a motherboard which supports 2 nvidia graphics cards in SLI and both in x16 channels. This motherboard would be for a 4th Gen i7. I found this one - ASRock Z87 Extreme9/ac and plan on putting on 16gb ram and an i7-4770K and two GTX 760 4gb cards. I do also plan on putting a liquid cooled heatsink instead of the traditional aluminium/copper heatsink. The other components are yet to be decided as of now. Could you guys suggest some other motherboards ? Cheaper or more expensive, doesn't matter, as long as price vs performance is great. I am sure there would be a point raised saying that 8x dual channel vs 16x dual channel has no significant advantages, can somebody elaborate on that as well ? Since even a small advantage goes a long way in my work. but if the advantage is very expensive, it might not be worth it at the end. Please do limit this discussion thread to the motherboard(and supporting components.) only. I want to educate myself on this segment, and then will have a different discussion with my entire build. Thanks again people !
