  1. Agree here, the Corsair 4000D ist a good budget case, and for 1700-1800 Euros a 6950XT is in that budget at a minimum. Just like a 5800X3D is cheap enough to fit in big time. And a 850W Gold (preferably Platinum) PSU is also a requirement for such a price. They go for around 120-150 Euros. And please please please get a faster SSD, the 980 Pro is a rip-off at these prices. The Kingston Fury or WD SN850X are much better priced and smash the 980 Pro's face in. Spend that tiny bit extra and get those in 2TB variants (less than 140 Euros) and leave that junky 250GB SATA SSD. And for that level of GPU please don't buy a 1080p Panel, that is a complete waste of your money. For under 300 you can get 1440p 165Hz panels easy peasy. As for RAM please go for a G. Skill kit with better timings, Corsair RAM is so loose on the timings and overpriced for what they offer. The motherboard is also a bit too entry-level, if it HAS to be B550 grab an ROG Strix board at a minimum, those are really cheap now. Anything under 150 Euros is a waste of money because AIBs cheap out on the components too much. I would suggest a nice X570 board around the 230-250 mark. As for fans as the Corsair 4000D has so little, just go grab a 5-pack of Arctic P12 PST fans, those are cheap af and are very good in performance. I hope I could help you further in your quest to build a cool system. Let me know if you have any other questions that arise. Cheers!
  2. That RAM is an AMD EXPO version of the Ripjaws S5, so yeah an XMP kit would make more sense for you.
  3. I have to agree with the others, the X570S Tomahawk is THE BEST option in this bracket, it has better I/O than B550, has Wi-Fi 6(E maybe?) and enough USB for this price point. It gets another vote of confidence from me too. And that's coming from an Asus fan. Cheers!
  4. It looks like a very nice build you put together, the RAM I am not sure about, Raptor Lake's memory controller is a very good one, it probably concerns the motherboard more if it can run these speeds... as long as you stay at one DIMM per channel I wouldn't count it out, but as I'm not a RAM OC specialist, maybe other would like to chime in... only other nitpick is the SSD, I know Samsung has an unreasonably good reputation as an SSD manufacturer, but you can find much much better and faster PCIe Gen 4 SSDs for cheaper than Samsungs 980 Pro... and at your budget I'd say 2TB would be very recommended, as they're not much more than the 1TB 980P... for example the Western Digital SN580X for 170$ https://pcpartpicker.com/product/crKKHx/western-digital-black-sn850x-2-tb-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-wds200t2x0e Or the Teamgroup Cardea Z44 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/pJ3gXL/teamgroup-t-force-cardea-z44q-2-tb-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-tm8fpq002t0c327 for the same price. I hope I could help you out with this cool PC, have fun building! Cheers!
  5. Totally agree, the 3800X is absolutely sufficient for QHD. I have a 3900X and playing at 1440p is smooth af. Zen 2 is an architecture that will allow for high-refresh-rate gaming at higher resolutions for a while (which is why the consoles use it). If you were pairing it with an enthusiast GPU such as an RX 7900XT or higher, then that is a totally different discussion. You'd be looking for a better upgrade elsewhere for the time being. I hope I could help you. Cheers!
  6. I understand your concerns, I just wanted to add that this monitor has the same LG panel as other more expensively priced variants which all have that pesky NVIDIA chip for VRR. So yeah in terms of the panel it probably is a very solid one. Just my two cents. Merry Christmas!
  7. Hey there, does the Acer Nitro XR3 XR383CURPbmiiphuzx sound like something that you would like? It does do HDR600 with 750nits peak and it goes up to 165Hz OC. Sadly as it's a gaming monitor it doesn't come with Thunderbolt, but it has a USB-C DP mode. I also don't know if the very slight curvature is a big deal to you, but it's a very recent monitor (around a year old). https://geizhals.de/acer-nitro-xr3-xr383curpbmiiphuzx-um-tx3ee-p01-a2654867.html?hloc=at&hloc=de I hope I could help you a little bit on your search. Cheers!
  8. Hey there, apparently 4K144Hz monitors under 700 are few and far between, the only good option there is the LG GN950-B, if you are willing to drop HDMI 2.1 support. otherwise it's a great panel which I can attest to, as I daily drive the Eve Spectrum 4K with the same panel. If you would like the ultimate 1440p experience for 700$ or less then I'd give the MSI Optix MAG274QRX a go, it has a 240Hz 10bit Panel and is not breaking the limit at under 600$. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/kvJgXL/msi-optix-mag274qrx-270-2560x1440-240-hz-monitor-optix-mag274qrx I hope I could help you a little bit on your search. Cheers!
  9. Hey there, I would not recommend populating the top M.2 slot, as it takes away four PCIe lanes for the GPU which makes the top slot operate in x8 mode. Please use the bottom two, as the middle one is connected via the dedicated CPU PCIe lanes for storage. The last SSD you can mount on the DIMM.2 expander card, as that one and the bottom M.2 SSD both are operating via the chipset now. It's a bit of a sneaky thing ASUS have done where they advertise lots of M.2 slots but just take CPU lanes away to make it happen. I hope I could make your first build a bit more understandable. Cheers!
  10. Hey there, I am a huge fan of the 13700K myself, as the P cores are insanely fast, the memory controller is superior to Zen 4 and the e core issue has been solved as of the newest OS updates, but I would only recommend it if it is closer to the 7700X in pricing than the 7900X. 439$ for the 7900X is a very good deal given it only released a few months ago. For reference I snagged my 3900X a year after release for 410Euros. But as the pricing of both these CPU is so close and X670E just has more features and I/O than Z790, the 7900X would be my choice. But it really is a wash in Gaming if both use DDR5. If you do go the route of DDR4 then the 13700K will be slower even than the 5800X3D. So yeah in conclusion I wouldn’t wait, the prices right now are really good. If you need every last frame then the 13700K will eek out the 7900X, but for platform longevity and better I/O (given you actually buy a higher-end/upper midrange mobo to make use of the features) get the R9. As competition is so great please decide based upon your own needs other than gaming. I hope I could help a little bit. Cheers!
  11. Hey there, it looks like a good starting point, but I have to agree with the others, you are definitely better off going with a stronger GPU as that fits in your budget, so I slightly revised your initial list and compiled the following one: https://geizhals.de/?cat=WL-2898806 If you would like to save another 50 Euros go with the R5 5500, as it's a steal under 100Euros at the moment. The RAM is also better due to the heatspreaders and it being 32GBs instead of 16, which I always recommend for new builds as 16GB are becoming kind of slim. So with that extra margin in mind you could upgrade the GPU another bit if there's a better model in reach or get a better cooler, even though a 65W CPU really doesn't need more. The motherboard I put in there because it does have Wifi 6E at that price which is good and the VRM is totally sufficient for even a 5950X at stock. I hope you have fun planning and building your PC. Cheers!
  12. Hey there buddy, don't let the people on the Google search results tell you otherwise, the B550-F will work with your choice of CPU. If you visit ASUS' product page you will also see that they state that it is an AM4 motherboard. Cheers!
  13. Okay sorry @kelvinhall05but I didn't see anybody talking about it so I thought I'd give ti a shout-out. It looks really interesting and I thought I'd sign up for it.
  14. Hey guys, I just wanted to know if any of you have also signed up for the newly announced quiz night that LTT posted over on Instagram in partnership with Pulseway. I am really looking forward to this! I don't know why this hasn't been more advertised as it's a great way of engaging with the community! Let me know of your thoughts and opinions!
  15. Please go with the 3900X, that is soo much more bang for your buck. The 5800X at that price is a rip-off imo. The 3900X can be had for 3800X prices right now. So yeah more cores. Unless there is a MASSIVE price drop for the 5800X (which there isn't going to be anytime soon) you are much better off with the 3900X.
