  1. First of all thank you for using your valuable time to read this post. So i bought a new sff psu to pursue my dream of building my own mini itx system and its the silverstone st45sf 450W non modular PSU (not exactly the sf450 but i am pretty sure they are very similar if you dont need a modular psu) my setup is listed below; CPU: 6700k (game mode on the mobo on so it runs at 4.4 Ghz with reasonable temps.) MOBO: MSI Z170I Gaming AC RAM : 2x8 GB Corsair Vengeance 2400 MHz GPU : Evga Geforce 1060 SC (small one) Storage : 480GB Sandisk ultra 2 SSD and a 1TB Seagate barracuda 7200 Rpm HDD Cooler : Cooler Master Evo 212 i build the system like 2 days ago and just started playing some Rocket league today , 2 days ago it was on a motherboard box with the st45sf psu and i played almost everything .. made a stress test and all .. today my system is in a bitfenix prodigy (i will swap to node 202 in the near future) but even while playing rocker league which is not that damanding my pc just shuts itself down and turns back up for no reason.. (at random times..) sometimes it just takes a minute , sometimes after 2-3 hours.. so now im worried , i swapped the psu for an 8 year old 620W Cooler master ATX unit and i am doing aida64 + furmark at the same time while writing this post (its been 29 minutes so far but it will be stress tested at least 8 hours while i sleep) after i realized the random resets i tried to do the same with aida64 and furmark and psu started resetting in a matter of minutes (i tried it like 6-7 times and everytime this happened) So what do you guys think ? is the sff450 unit not enough ? or does it have some kind of defect ? i see people running 7700k s and 1070s with sf450 psu s so im leaning more towards the defect probability.. again thanks for reading this hidious post and your possible help !
  2. SOLVED ! i got the evo 212 and it fits perfectly with couple of milimeters actually. but again i was able to use 2 fans on the cooler so there is nothing to complain. i will make a post about this in 1-2 days because on my search , google wasnt showing me anything i guess that post would help people in the future about maximus VI impact and evo BTW 4670k @4.5 GHz (671 cinebench r15 score) was stable and it did not even reach 50 on the temps. evo was on full load and in stock my cpu is 25 degrees with evo in the silent mode , that was very impressive.
  3. if i can get any confirmation about the evo212 fitting in that board i really dont care how hard it is to mount it it will be a challenge but i will do it i just need to know it will fit because i cant return it if i buy it
  4. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SOLVED EVO 212 fits maximus impact barely but i can confirm it can be used with 2 fans easily. for anyone who is planning to use this config just make sure to connect your front audio first , it is hard to reach after you installed the cooler. Pics to prove it fits will be added later , for any question dont hesitate to contact me . ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First of all i am happy to say that i ditched the q9300 PC i had for over 8 damn years. i upgraded to 4670K with the Maximus VI impact. The problem is 4670K was my friends old cpu and he humped that stock cooler really hard. one of the legs on the stock cooler is broken, so now even on idle i get 50 C on aida64 stress test i get like 90-94 C.(one time i got a cpu overheat error on the boot.) BTW I am using it on stock speeds , even tried to undervolt it but did not get any better. i know its haswell it should run hot but not that hot , overheat on stock speeds with the stock fan is not normal) These days i dont have much money so im gonna get a used Evo 212 for my cpu. but my question is would it fit on the impact ? i found a dude who made it fit on the Maximus VII impact easily, but im not sure if the measurements between VI and VII are the same or not. Link: http://share.pho.to/9yAMf if any one of you tried evo 212 with maximus VI impact or have any idea to help me , i am all ears thanks for all the help !
  5. Hi everyone ! My question is in the title , if im gonna use it to store pictures, movies music and games that i dont care if loads up fast or not. should i go with the hybrid drives or just stick with the normal hdds ? would there be any performance gain ? im using a 120 gig ssd at the moment and i have my windows setup on the ssd but because of the low capacity of my ssd i need to use my storage drive to run other games from time to time. as far as i know all the magic happens on the firmware side of the hybrid drives so they can accelerate the system bootup via the firmware on the chip. but like i said if i dont use it as my system drive , does that algorithm makes those games on the drive load faster like it would have done on the system files otherwise ? thanks for all your help!
  6. Update: i got a second 970 from a friend as a gift so i changed the MOBO to Formula instead of impact. and since those wouldn't fit in 380t i had to use my old Cooler Master Stacker 810 which is 24 kgs or something like that while empty for now i cancelled with my plans for 380T iand i put it on my garage. Update 2 : if anyone ends up here while looking for a watercooled 380T here is a link to another build i saw on the internet which might help you http://www.overclock.net/t/1551762/build-log-corsair-380t-water-cooled-overstuffed-complete [this build is not mine so if you have any questions you might wanna ask , ask to OP ]

  8. Great maybe i will finally win something giveaway
  9. Yeah there are more options , but i really want the 380T, looks amazing and looks definitely better than all of the cases in the same class, it has a spot for dual 120 rad and maybe with some handwork on the front side of the case it can hold one more dual 120 rad. im still not sure about the watercooling both components with a custom loop instead of just watercooling the cpu with something like H100i.
  10. Hey ladies and gents , im gonna build a new rig , this time i want something small but definitely overpowered.. Planned Parts: 4790K / ASUS ROG VII IMPACT / ASUS GTX970 Strix / Corsair Dominator 2133Mhz 16 GB Rams (maybe i can change the ram) AND OFCOURSE as the case Corsair 380T. <-(LTT Review) Question is i want something small , 380T will provide this part and it can hold every part on my list. BUT i want to get a custom loop water cooling in it instead of something like H110 or H100i.. Do you think the 380T can hold a custom loop which includes both CPU and GPU ?? thanks for the help in advance
  11. I'm about to build my new rig , gonna buy the parts in 20 days (waiting for the salary) and planning to build something small but effective with 380T,maximus VII impact and 4790k with some AIO watercooling , and ofcourse gtx970 strix ) if i win this cpu i can spare some more cash on 21:9 2k monitor instead of 16:9 1080p one ) May the luckiest one win guys , good luck to all
  12. I've been watching linus for years i remember the first videos of linustechtips channel as for the techquickie it is really hard to pick the favorite because they are all awesome and informing but i guess this one was my favorite: and same thing almost goes for jay , i've been watching his channel for almost a year , i found the channel when i was building a watercooled pc for my friends graduation project... http://youtu.be/4og2AGueYR0?list=UUkWQ0gDrqOCarmUKmppD7GQ this prize will be a great upgrade for my pc that psu tho!! i hope that i will win no offence guys
  13. This one was great: and the second one : This prize would be a great upgrade for my pc i hope everyone wins
  14. i agree about poseidons warranty ... and also i think i found which parts im going to buy for cooing ; http://www.aquatuning.de/product_info.php/info/p10621_Alphacool-TPP644---OT12--G1-2--Au-engewinde-.html http://www.aquatuning.de/product_info.php/info/p7663_reducing-socket-G1-2-to-G1-4-inner-thread---knurled---black-nickel-plated.html http://www.aquatuning.de/product_info.php/info/p12344_Alphacool-NexXxoS-ST30-Full-Copper-360mm.html http://www.aquatuning.de/product_info.php/info/p11467_Alphacool-Cape-Fuzion-Core-30---Acetal---Black.html http://www.aquatuning.de/product_info.php/info/p13564_Alphacool-NexXxoS-XP--Light---Acetal---Intel-AMD.html http://www.aquatuning.de/product_info.php/info/p5219_Anschlusskit-Verschraubung-13-10mm-G1-4--gerade-black-nickel.html http://www.aquatuning.de/product_info.php/info/p12359_Phobya-4Pin-Molex-to-6x-3Pin-Fan-Splitter-PCB.html for the fans on the radiator im going with 3x corsair sp120 quiet editions and for case fans i am going to have 4 x corsair af140 non led model because im going to have my own leds in my case and fan with the leds on it are little bit more loud .. so please tell me what you think .. im not sharing any photos of my case until its done . so you guys have to wait for that
  15. Hello guys, im going to build a new case and i will buy lots of new parts to fill it up .. parts im going to buy : Intel 4770k , Asus poseidon gtx780 , Asus Maximus VI Formula , Corsair AX860i ,Corsair Vengeance pro red 4x4 (16GB) ,WD Caviar Black 1TB and also im going to add my notebooks Agility 3 120 GB ssd to this system. here is my question based on these parts: im planning to watercool my cpu gpu and motherboard so i need to go with custom parts for this one .. im going to use FrozenQ PC Mods 250mm Fusion V Series reservoir, still trying to decide about the pump, (need advice as well ) main question : do you think just 1 3x120mm 30mm thick radiator would be enough for cooling ? most builds i've encountered were using 1 3x120 and 1 2x120 so im bit confused .. im going to have enough space for just one 3x120 or maybe just maybe for a quad .. so whats your advice for me ? thanks for the help .
