  1. Solved: Two Techs had to come out on two separate days. It was a transmission problem on the line. As of now they replaced my Docsis 3.1 with the newer model, and removed a splitter off my line. the tech was super cool and turns out we went to the same tech college in the same program. He said as of now from the pole, I am in sync, and I should have no more problems. If I do, at that point he will be replacing my line and all the way up to the node.
  2. I know of one splitter in my basement. I can remove that, i have a tech coming out on the 7th (I have to wait 5 days to get this fixed) and I will have him run a new line for me. Cause, what am I paying them for?
  3. Hey all, I don't know where else to turn! i live in Northern MN, and we dont have a ton of choices when it comes to ISP if we want good speeds. As of now I have Gigabit service through Mediacom, and lately, it seems that my modem keeps losing signal and then attempts to reestablish. Here is whats happening: 1. I have a new modem, I rent the modem, and it's fresh from the box. 2. My modem is baselined, and I own my own router for Port forwarding game servers for friends. 3. My signal strength is normally fine when the techs check it over the phone. I am getting my normal speed. 4. It seems to happen around noon and late in the evening. 5. The lights on the modem for upload and download are normally blue, then they go out, a few minutes later they come back to green, then blue.. 6. I have no VPN, or external service like that. 7. I have had one tech already at the house, and couldn't find anything. What could my issue be? I could try a new modem again, but like I said, this one was fresh from the box.
  4. Hey all, I just built a new gaming/editing rig in the Phanteks P500a, and I noticed I can have a dual PC setup in there with an ITX board as well as a full ATX, but I cant find anything detailing how!? Any ideas, specially with power and such.
  5. Well, I tried what I know, I don't use AMD for this reason specifically. I have heard more good than bad. Without really being able to work on the machine, I can't think of aything else.
  6. Turn Freesync off, does that have any affect?
  7. Ok, another dumb question, your monitor is 144hz compadible?
  8. Those will run fine if it is a graphics issue. if you go into Display Settings, are you set at 60fps?
  9. You have the latest Graphics Driver as well? I know it might be a dumb question, but starting at the basics is the way to diagnose.
  10. So clarify, do you mean stuttering as in Frame Stutter? or like a flashing stutter?
  11. Im sorry to keep bothering you, I havent built a computer in a while so all this new tech is kinda overwhelming. The Z490 MB I am looking at says it has an 8 + 4 power slot. I am reading conflicting information and cant find a good enough answer. Do I need both 8pin and 4 pin to power cpu and mobo stuff?
  12. Performance, my experience with the haswell line of processors has me worried about temps
  13. Are you familiar with AIO cooling? If so would you have a recommendation for case and cooler for either the 10th gen or AMD
  14. I need to add that as of right now I have my current rig in a CM Strom Scout Advanced 2 case. I want to liquid cool this next machine with an AIO for performance, but dunno if I should get a new case for that or keep the one I have for a 120mm rad.
  15. Is there anything I need to know with Ryzen, I only have one pc with AMD and its a stream PC for dual PC setup?
  16. Budget (including currency): ~900USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: League of Legends Triple A Games Sony Vegas Video Editing/Rending Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Old Build: i7-4790K 16G DDR3 GTX 1660Ti 256G SSD 500G SSD 3T HDD New Build: i7-10700KF 16G DDR3 3200 MSI Pro B460M 500Watt Bronze PSU Corsair Hydro Series H100x Here is the List: https://newegg.io/dcc7fdf I will be keeping all drives and the GPU for the new build. Thoughts and ideas for maximizing performance to cost?
  17. I dont think it is the ram, cause the only thing that pc is running is OBS Streamlabs. I am nowhere near my Ram Capacity.
  18. Gaming PC: 4th Gen i7 16GB Ram GTX 1660 Stream PC: Ryzen 7 8core 8GB RAM Geforce GT 1030 (Only used for external display) Avermedia Capture Card
  19. Bump, Here are my thoughts. I don't think it has anything to do with the monitor, however it could be a plethora of things, maybe a setting is messed up, or it could be that the one computer (stream pc) is using a HDD and that could cause hangs.
  20. Hey all! I have a dual PC setup for streaming. On my main PC I am running a GTX 1660 to a 1440p 144hz monitor. When I fire up my Stream PC it changes my output to 1080p to match my capture card @ 60hz. No problems there, the problem lies within the performance. I will have smooth gameplay on everything I play at 1440p 144hz, however when I am stream a game in 1080p on the same monitor I get strange hang ups, like graphical freezing (but audio still continues) The mouse will hang up for no reason too, sometimes 2-5 seconds. What is going on!
  21. Hmmm, if Memtest did not detect any errors then it could be a graphic card issue, try rolling back your drivers on your graphics card see if it continues.
  22. Ram Usage has nothing to do with the problem. Thats why Memtest helps me, at least, diagnose if its a bad ram stick. You could remove one stick (if you have 2x8gb sticks) and try with one. Swap sticks again and test the other if it crashes on one stick and not the other, than its that ram stick as the problem.
  23. That sound like bad ram. But computers are like water leaks, you think you know where the problem is coming from, but you cant always be sure.
  24. What a mem test does is sends bits through your ram and checks what happens. If it throws an error it will tell you. There are other testers, I just don't use them. Does the computer boot normally now? Did you check video drivers?
  25. I would suggest a Mem Test, a log doesnt always tell us what is happening. You could have a stick of memory throwing errors.
