  1. Please do a long-term video on comparing liquid for custom watercooling. Build 3-4 identical systems (doesn't need to be overkill of course), and use the following liquids: EK cryofuel (or something equivalent, expensive pre-mix or self mixed concentrate with distilled water) Distilled water with a silver coil for eliminating the germs and "gunk" build-up (this seems to come up some times, people swearing it's working just fine over several years) Pure distilled water, nothing else Boiled water? (can't imagine this is too great of an idea, but the other 3 are the the main focus in my opinion) Then run these systems for a long period of time, like maybe 3-12 months. (just like the dust comparing video, since that proved incredibly useful for figuring out that dilemma) You could also do an update video whenever something interesting happens with any of the builds. I think many people will find this incredibly useful, and will provide a lot of answers for all those custom water cooling questions
  2. Might as well get NVMe if the system supports it? Might move it over to a desktop later as well.
  3. Alright, what about using it as a boot drive?
  4. Hi, I wish to upgrade this laptop with an SSD, since the 1TB WD Blue is horrendously slow. I opened it today, and saw that there was an M.2 slot in it. However, I searched up the laptop, and it apparently supports NVMe? I can't find any information about what size it needs to be though, so I'm wondering which one I need to get. From what I remember, the gap was around 6-8cm? (I can double check this more accurately) This would be the new boot drive as well, but I've heard people having issues booting from an NVMe drive. Is this issue fixed now?
  5. Hey guys, it's been a while since I've come to you for assistance now.. For a long time, I've been annoyed over the fact that there isn't a simple solution to separating audio coming in, such as Discord / TS, and music. This is a problem for me when I want to upload something, or show something off, since I have to manually isolate the audio (removing audio completely all the time in videos), or just removing it completely when there is music with copyright claims on it. Is there a way of separating this, so I have one line coming in, it being JUST the game, then the other line being other things such as comms and music? I remember checking this out briefly before, but it seemed so damn complicated... Is there not a simple, yet good way of solving this? I'm not sure if this is in the right category, or if I'm just being a pleb / really lazy about this whole thing.. But I would love to hear how I can solve this. Thanks in advance!
  6. The Guardian CPU: AMD FX8350 Black Edition Octo-Core, 4.2 GHz RAM: Crucial Ballisticx Sport 1600MHz 16GB (2x8GB) RAM GPU: Gigabyte AMD R9 280 3GB Well... looks like my GPU isn't good enough
  7. One word. Lol. "I have a 1300$ budget" He knew of that and set something up for almost twice as much? hahaha Anyways don't go for the most expensive components, serioustly. Forexample the headset you shouldn't buy one for more than 200$. Most of the time it's a waste. Alot of these components you gotta think alot more affordable so you have money left in case you need to get something new. especially peripherals.
  8. Mini-DP from GPU to DP on monitor. Used HDMI on GPU and Ps3 before, and other tech stuff that could take HDMI.
  9. Start everything up, then play games. ...That's it really lol. maybe some youtube now and then. Battlefield, dayz, war thunder, WoW.
  10. I'm pretty certain no PSU should fry your components for having too much wattage..
  11. I'd help you if I could about how high wattage PSU you should have but.. I have a R9 280 and a 750W PSU just to make sure that my GPU gets enough power (plus the CPU and drives and stuff) and that I can maybe upgrade aswell later on without having to get a new PSU. And that build should hold up for a while, yeah.
  12. This looks pretty solid for me, only that I'm not entirely sure if that GPU is going to "enjoy" only 500W... Again, I'm not sure if it won't or not but you want to make sure it's good enough, plus you could just get a 2TB for only a few percent more which is DEFINATELY worth it if you ask me.. Plus you might want to use the stock fan if one comes with, then save up or something for a good aircooler or watercooler
  13. I like the QBS (the starting one) because of its firerate and power, quick reloading aswell. A hell of a shotgun with either buckshot or slugs. (But buckshot is definately better at CQB, barely have to aim compared to the slug ) Plus the DBV-12 is pretty amazing due to its magazine reloading mechanism, so you don't have to wait 3 minutes like with the DAO. That is pretty much an explosive DMR with frags, or a really accurate dmr with slugs
  14. I clean out the filters every two weeks, the actual inside is almost THAT dusty, so I do that just now and then if I'm actually just changing things out and stuff
