  1. interesting name..? lol Chucking in a graphics card would help a lot. Something like a 3060ti (if you can find one in stock). GPUs are hard to come by right now but if you can't find an RTX 3060ti for under $500 (preferably $400-450) then look for a 2060 for under $350. also porn on the same computer your 10 year old uses may not be the best idea..
  2. What are the specs of your current PC? There may be parts you can salvage. Assuming you cannot salvage anything, then this is the best thing you can build right now for the price. Stock is low and prices are inflated so this is the best I could do. PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor €213.40 @ LIFE Informatica Motherboard ASRock B550 Pro4 ATX AM4 Motherboard €129.91 @ Amazon Espana Memory Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory €66.01 @ Amazon Espana Storage Western Digital Blue SN550 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive €110.59 @ Amazon Espana Video Card Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB OC Video Card €324.64 @ Electronicamente Case Corsair 275R Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case €74.95 @ Amazon Espana Power Supply EVGA GD (2019) 600 W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply €71.00 @ Amazon Espana Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total €990.50 Generated by PCPartPicker 2021-01-11 21:58 CET+0100 You have a decent upgrade path with this PC. The motherboard supports 5th Gen Ryzen and your power supply is sufficient to handle newer graphics cards.
  3. I would go with something like this if you absolutely HAVE to build right now: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor $194.99 @ Newegg Motherboard Gigabyte B550M DS3H Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard $94.99 @ Newegg Memory Kingston HyperX Fury 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory $68.99 @ Best Buy Storage Western Digital Blue SN550 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $104.99 @ Amazon Video Card Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB OC Video Card $306.98 @ Newegg Case Cooler Master MasterBox MB320L ARGB MicroATX Mid Tower Case $62.99 @ Amazon Power Supply Cooler Master MWE Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply $67.34 @ Amazon Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $901.27 Generated by PCPartPicker 2021-01-11 15:44 EST-0500 This feels weird saying this but this GPU is 'Good Value' right now, being about $30-40 over its normal price. This is probably the least you can spend on a PC as the moment with it being actually worth it due to the massive inflation and no stock anywhere. Your best move is to wait. If you can. For a 1660 super (very similar to the 1660ti) to come back in stock under $250. Then it will be more in your budget.
  4. Budget (including currency): £700 (including PC, monitor, speakers and webcam) Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Surfing the web with quite a few chrome tabs, storing lots of photos, word processing, video conferences, photo editing etc. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): We have the keyboard and mouse. Hi, I am looking to build my dad a PC, possibly for his birthday, about 4 months. He has only used AIO's and the current one he is on feels very slow. Iirc, It has a 1TB mechanical hdd, 8gb ram and some i5 6th gen. He wants it to pretty small but expandable and needs to last at least 4-5 years. I was originally thinking of an HTPC case but from what I am aware of, they are hard to build in, not great cooling and not very expandable. So I was thinking of going for an Micro ATX case. I was thinking of going with a Ryzen 5 4600G (if that is ever released for normal people to buy) or if not, then either a 3400G or i5 9400/10400 and 16GB RAM. Does anyone have any ideas on what parts to use or if it is even a good idea? Thanks for your help!
  5. Can you wait at all? Or does she need one right now. Also, this is probably overkill for your mother, unless the video and photo editing she is doing is serious quite demanding so if you want to save money, I would go with @Energycore's list. However, I would highly recommend waiting as $400 for a $200 GPU is just ridiculous. If you can wait, then I would go with this: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8 GHz 8-Core Processor $449.00 @ Best Buy CPU Cooler be quiet! Dark Rock 4 CPU Cooler $74.90 @ Amazon Motherboard MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard $179.99 @ Amazon Memory Team T-FORCE DARK Z 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory $119.99 @ Newegg Storage Western Digital Blue SN550 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $104.99 @ Lenovo Storage Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $54.99 @ Newegg Video Card MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB GAMING X TRIO Video Card $499.99 @ Adorama Case Corsair 275R Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case $79.98 @ Amazon Power Supply SeaSonic CORE GM 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply $80.98 @ Newegg Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $1659.81 Mail-in rebates -$15.00 Total $1644.81 Generated by PCPartPicker 2021-01-09 13:55 EST-0500 If you have to buy now, be aware you will have to pay scalper prices, which I would not recommend.
  6. While a R5 3600 and 3070 will give you slightly better performance in gaming, (avg of 10fps), personally I would get the 5600X and 3060ti. This is because both GPU's are pretty similar and the 5600X will not bottleneck the 3070 at all while the 3600 may but rarely.
  7. Hi, I have 2 monitors and would like too preferably wall mount them. This is so I can see them over my laptop and to give me more desk space. My main monitor: Acer VG270U Pbmiipx 27.0" 2560x1440 144 Hz Monitor has a VESA mount, however my second one: AOC I2481FXH 23.8" 1920x1080 60 Hz Monitor does not have a VESA mount. Is there anyway I can mount this on the wall?
  8. A Dark Rock Pro 4 or scythe puma 2 (as @jaslionsaid) would both be great options.
  9. Great choice of components BTW. For the case, there are many good ones. In the end, it just comes down to. personal preference. Here are a few that are good: RGB Cases Phanteks Eclipse P400A Digital ATX Mid Tower Case Phanteks Eclipse P360A ATX Mid Tower Case Cooler Master MasterBox TD500 Mesh w/ Controller ATX Mid Tower Case Non-RGB Cases Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case Corsair 275R Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case Fractal Design Meshify C ATX Mid Tower Case Have a look and see which you like. of course there are many more, but these are just some known good ones from reputable brands. As for the Graphics Card, a 3080 will suit the build perfectly, but only if you can find them in stock. I am afraid the only way you are going to get a 3080 or tbh any other GPU is to wait. They will come back in stock at some point, and if you check regularly on different websites or use pcpp, you should eventually get one.
  10. These CL17 are decent https://www.alza.cz/hyperx-32gb-kit-3600mhz-ddr4-cl17-predator-d5453341.htm?o=4 or https://www.alza.cz/crucial-32gb-kit-ddr4-3600mhz-cl16-ballistix-red-d5791925.htm?o=1
  11. For light video editing the 5600 will be great. If you want to play around with overclocking, then consider getting an aftermarket cooler. Here are a few options if you decide to do that. Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition be quiet! Dark Rock 4 For the motherboard, seeing as you are going with an ATX case, consider getting an ATX mobo like an MSI B550-A PRO Also, congrats on getting a 3060ti with stock being as it is!
  12. So your schools are open in Norway? (*silently cries*) Anyway, from what I could see they were the same price. I would 100% go for the 2nd one as it has more storage (as 256GB will probably not be enough) and a better CPU. Here in the UK, the 2nd option has good reviews so I would go for that.
  13. if you are happy with the 5600X that is fine, but yeah the 5800X is in a wierd spot. If you want to go all out then a 5900X is the way to go.
  14. 3770s are going used for $70-80 and the K going for closer to 200. This leaves room for a GPU upgrade (maybe a 1660 super or see if Nvidia releases a 3050) when prices return to normal. However If you could spend 300 euros on just the CPU, RAM and mobo without GPU, then with either an i3 10100 or r3 3100/r5 1600af, a good board under €100 and 16GB 3000MHz RAM, you would be set. Of course if you can find them in stock rn.
  15. My bad, didn't see that! Also, graphics cards are super overpriced right now so the cheapest thing in stock upgrading it to costs nearly $300.

  18. Not an expert on watercooling but I would recommend a better CPU like a 5800X. Cyberpunk will benefit and it will keep up more with your 3080
  19. SeaSonic CORE GM is a good unit. More expensive than that Corsair CV one, but is semi-modular which will be much easier to manage cables in an ITX case. It is also 80+ Gold. Corsair RMx (2018) is very good but is a bit longer than standard ATX units so may need to check dimensions.
  20. Your current build is probably worth about £600-650 As for the new one. Looks great! Maybe go for a slightly cheaper NVMe Drive like an SN550, but that is up to you. Also, maybe look for a CL16 ram kit instead if that fits in your budget
  21. Sorry, not an expert on machine learning, but I thought I would point out you cant run SLI on the 3070 in case you were planning to. Only the 3090.
