I have an old rig with a GTX 550 Ti. Barely enough for older games, but not that great for the hot new stuff

That size of an image from only a few inches away? Sounds absolutely awesome!

Yes. It's possible. You can select whether you want the full search box, only a search icon or hide it completely.

My mouse is an old Logitech MX518 which still serves me well. But I would like to try something new - something different.

It's not as pointless to watch 4K on a 1080p screen as a lot of people think. The video codec used for 4K has much higher quality. Of course the video is scaled down to fit 1080p but you get rid of the annoying compression artifacts of YouTube's 1080p codec.

Seems to be a somewhat typical thing for the German music industry. They always have strange ideas. For example the whole stupidness between Google/YouTube and the rights organisation "GEMA". Most music videos are blocked and you cannot even watch livestreams on YouTube D:

According to the article the CPU was sold directly by Amazon not through a third-party-reseller. Quote from the article (I know it's german and not everyone will understand this):

I thought a Chromecast would be a great Media Center-like device. But an Intel NUC is so much more versatile. Great giveaway. Thanks to Intel and LinusTechTips!

CNN has revealed the top "Tech Companies of 2014" guess who it is?
MVSde replied to Brett Taggart's topic in Tech News
T-Mobile US seems to be a pretty forward thinking company. But the parent company (Telekom Germany) is exactly the opposite. Sadly. One thing I don't understand: Telekom is planning to sell T-Mobile US to Sprint. Seems to be a very strange move. But maybe they want to focus on getting better in Germany -
My current rig still runs an i7 2600K. For gaming and everyday usage a pretty powerful CPU with a lot of overclocking headroom. But as soon as I'm editing videos or create After Effects project things start to slow down significantly. Just a few days ago I thought... well... it's time to upgrade soon. And the best bang for the buck workstation solution seems to be the i7 5820K.

The water cooling unit for the CPU is very great. I always wanted to go water cooling but the hefty price tag kept me from going that way. Since AIO liquid coolers are coming down in price I reconsider this - better overclocking is one of my main reasons

I own an old Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti and it looks not that well. But especially the new Omega edition with it's metal shroud looks awesome... and performs awesome as well ;-)

1 Million Subscribers - Thank you all! And a giveaway!
MVSde replied to nicklmg's topic in LTT Releases
Through LinusTechTips I finally got interested in cool computer hardware. I've owned a custom build before I started watching this channel... that thing wasn't very great. Something in the lower end of available components. Seeing YouTubers (not only LTT but also JayzTwoCents and Barnacules) building/reviewing cool computer stuff was the start of a couple of cool upgrades I made to my rig and my office overall. Congratulations on achieving the big milestone of 1 Million subscribers. LTT is one of my daily shows I watch instead of TV... far better, far more entertaining and in fact far more informative!- 22,217 replies

The Z2 seems to be very powerful which is nice. I never heard of dbrand until now and it looks like a very great manufacturer for custom phone skins.
