  1. Barnacules did a codegasm episode with similar functionality to this, video here. Obviously youll want to modify the code from the video, but serves the purpose i think you might be after.
  2. So long as Region Lock bullshit is still a thing, so will there be piracy.
  3. If you watched the Intel stream with Linus, you would already know why there not soldering them in place..
  4. Will the stream be archived on YouTube for those of us that would be working while the stream is live?
  5. The MXL looks really good, now I just have to wait on my tax return ;p , any recommendations on a shock mount, and is a pop filter really worth it? I know I said only vent/Skype/twitch but you never know what may happen in the future. I also know that others have said my audio coming over vent sounds very girlish >.> and I'm looking for a solution to eliminate that.
  6. I run 4 monitor on a custom built stand. As for my soundcard I'm using an ASUS Xonar DG 5.1
  7. I'm looking to get a new mic, and I need done recommendations. I would prefer analog to make good use of my soundcard but I would consider a USB based mic. Standalone only I don't need a headset combo. I've heard good things about the yeti, but I have enough clutter on my desk already. Ideally I would be mounting the mic on an adjustable boom (diy IKEA). Any and all suggestions welcome. Primary use is vent/Skype but also for twitch streaming.
  8. Mining and Cargo Hauling short or long distance, my Constelation can handle it all Cant wait for the game to launch!! ~~Silent
  9. Both statements are technically correct. Any non voice related audio is sent to my surround speaker setup, anything that is voice comm related ie: skype and ventrilo etc will be routed to my headset.
  10. Most of the time im using voice comms, im on WoW in which i have game sound disabled because i usually have iTunes on. As for the type of headset, ideally id like it to be wireless both headphone/mic combo, be comfortable after several hours of use and not fall apart after a year. I am planning on eventaully getting a dedicated mic sperate from everything else, but that wont be untill i can find a good quality mic that i can mount on a homemade ikea mic stand that i can dangle above my monitors. I should also note that i would highly prefer that the mic be Analog, i dont have any available USB slots left. I was looking at the Logitech G930 as ive seen alot of good reviews on it, and its well under my price range, just wondering if anyone else has used it, can tell me what the quality of the mic/headset is like etc. ~~Silent
  11. Im looking for a new headset (Wireless if possible pref. [With solid battery life] as wired ones tend to down too quickly for me). Its being used STRICTLY for Voice comms only so it will need an on board mic, something of decent quality as it will be used for extended periods of gaming (Programs used mostly Skype and Ventrilo) Any suggestions much appreciated. I can budget about $200-250 ~~Silent
  12. I looked into using the Corsair case instead, however because this is a home run book-keeping business the little kids would competly destroy the anodized aluminum finish on it, and yes could prob save $100 by not using the Noctua cooler... but hey, the entire system is a business tax write off. As for the additonal Noctua fans, i could eaisly go for something cheaper thats just as efficient, but hey.... its Noctua
  13. Ok after discussion with my parents, ive come up with a finalized list of components. Ive opted to go AMD because of the improved integrated graphics, as well as generally cheaper components. Case: Fractal Design Arc Micro ATX ($89.99) MB: ASUS A88xm-Plus/CSM ($99.99) CPU: AMD A8-5600k APU, Black Edition ($99.99) CPUC: Noctua NH-U14S ($89.99) PSU: Corsair CX430M ($49.99) HD1: Crucial M4 128GB SSD ($109.99) HD2: Western Digital 1TB Blue ($69.99) Additional Fans: (to replace the Fractal ones) 120mm: Noctua NF-F12 (2x $39.98) 140mm: Noctua NF-P14 FLX (1x $19.99) Microsoft Windos 7 Pro. 64Bit ($149.99) Microsoft Office Home & Business 2013, w/ Product Key ($209.99) Monitor: LG 22EA53V-P 22" IPS KB/Mouse: Using existing Total cost ~~$1294.86 not including taxes and eviormental levys.
  14. Thanks for all the info so far everyone, i was definetly looking at using AMD because of the supurier integrated gfx, the only reason the 560 was in the list was because i have an extra one that isnt in use atm. But considering that its only being used for bookkeeping and accounting for multiple clients, integrated will work just fine. My intention was to try and keep the system as fast and quiet, but as cheap as possible and splurge on a good monitor (or 2) as well as seeing if theres enough leftover for a UPS after the fact. Ill keep researching and post a final build that i come up with to see what everyone else thinks. ~~Silent
