    i saw the benchmarks and it must definitely be the marvell's fault, so it means i don't have to send the ssd back to amazon. Btw yes i know, the system is already a lot faster even compared to my old HDD Raid0. Would you suggest enabling rapid mode? Some benchmarks report higher speeds, other report lower speeds so i don't know if it makes sense or not. (a lot of the benchmarks i found are a bit old, maybe it's improved, i don't know therefore i'm asking )

    Here i am, i tried quite a lot of things but it's still slow. -The X.H.D. software turned out to be only about raid 0 so it wasn't really useful in any way. -Changing the port didn't affect the speeds. -Switching beetween options just makes it a bit slower, like 2-3 MB/s slower. -I had already done the restoration thing, it actually updated the firmware too, but it didn't change anything. -I had over provisioning at 10% when i made the screenshots.

    Yes, it's plugged to the sata 3 port. The rapid mode gives impressive speeds but they are really not "real" speeds and slows down to real speeds after a while. Is it possible that i have to change some kind of setting on the bios?

    yes but much slower than it should be. no it's disabled, yes i used the performance restoration software so the firmware is up to date. ps. By the way, thanks for the help.

    Hi, just bought my first SSD, it's the 840 EVO 250GB, i installed the samsung magician software and even the performance restoration software. My speeds are quite low, 410 MB/s Sequential Read and 244 MB/s Sequential Write. Am i doing something wrong? ps. My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3

    my psu makes quite a bit of noise, that silent 750W power supply has to be my favorite.

    I like the "not in front of the glass viewing experience" thanks to the front speakers, on top of that the skin is quite awesome
