  1. Sounds good in theory, but only 1 gigabit port on the back? You can get a Linksys WRT1900 for 50 dollars less and it comes with a half decent app. I guess if you plan on having a switch to give you more gigabit ports or you don't have more than one device requiring a wired connection then this could work, but it still seems a bit steep just for more convinience. Google is claiming that their router won't have any connection issues, but any other router at this price point is going to have similar or better hardware and won't have any connection issues either. It's because everyone is running the crappy router that came from their ISP's or 13 year old WRT 54G's that can't handle more than 1 device.
  2. It probably won't mean cheaper, faster internet for the consumer, but what it might mean is a faster deployment of fiber to the masses by ISP's which is definitely a win for customers.
  3. welp, it came free with my graphics card so as long as it works half decent on it then i'm good.
  4. Yeah i'll probably recommend he gets WD RE drives. They appear to have a good track record.
  5. I'm trying to help my dad with archiving his files for work. He had a hard drive die on him and had to pay a lot to recover the data on it. Are there any business or enterprise drives that include data recovery in the warranty so if the drive dies you can send it back to the manufacturer to recover the data instead of paying a third party?
  6. Pretty crazy deal. Has 2 USB ports, a 1A and a 2.1A. Really nice looking too. Only the white one is on sale! http://www.ncix.com/detail/patriot-fuel-mobile-rechargeable-battery-ed-85877.htm
  7. My computer would bluescreen sometimes. I found it to be because my CPU was overheating. Got a new cooler and haven't had an issue since. You might want to check temps to make sure they look normal.
  8. I know it was smooth across the board. Chrome runs fine on my desktop though so i'm just wondering if maybe I have out of date drivers or software or something.
  9. I recently got a Dell XPS 13 and immediately installed chrome on it. It didn't seem quite right as soon as I opened it up. Everything seemed to stutter a lot and when I went to watch a 4k video on youtube, it locked up the CPU at 100% and lagged the video to all hell. I opened IE and played back the same video and it ran smooth as butter with CPU usage at 20%. I also ran a 4k video on my desktop on chrome and it ran fine at 20% as well. Is chrome just a resource hog or is there something else i'm missing that might solve my chrome stuttering issue. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated
  10. I hope they allow people outside the US to buy sim cards. This would be great for trips to the states and to other countries as well.
  11. Guessing they were bought so companies could make knock-off versions of it.
  12. I personally prefer consuming YouTube video's at 144p for that old timey feel
  13. The 5c never made any sense for the consumer anyways. It was the same price on contract as the iphone 5, had the same specs, but was built out of plastic and only came with 8gb of storage. It made sense for apple because they were cheaper to manufacture. The 6c won't make any sense either for the same reasons.
