    as far as books, I've never learned well just reading. If I were you, I would pick up some old hardware on craigslist, and use it to set up different things like FTP servers, NAS, game servers, stuff like that. that's how I acquired most of my knowledge. do some google searching and find a tutorial. follow the tutorial, and if you come across an issue that you can't figure out, that's why we're here.

    Call me sad, but if I was going for the whole RGB thing (and I plan to someday) this is possible the coolest thing ever

    I wish the pad lit up like the alienware touchpads - that would be the most baller unnecessary thing ever

    @Freeeeese Xeons are quite (semi)/pro-sumer grade. Naturally what a xeon offers compared to that of a mainstream processor say an i5
    Couple examples here;
    higher core count (i.e.) video processing is a likely area of which benefits more cores reducing time taken significantly. Watch this video, round about 12:00 minutes is a good spot to watch from if not the start.

    The E5 2699 v3 literally doubled the render score of a previous 12 core xeon <- X5650
    ^The latest & greatest cost a fair penny ($4500). Realistically for whatever intended purpose you'll buy them they'll always have a high price tag but you'll be using the damn thing 24/7 so the cost of it doesn't matter as much. ECC (Error-correcting code memory)

    Does it just turn down the game volume? or the system volume?

    The only thing I can think of is going to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Change system sounds > Communications tab > click on "Do nothing"

    I had a similar issue with Skype turning down system volume whenever I joined a call.

    immmediately subbed to this. I have been planning to do this for a LOOOOOOOONG time but haven't had the money to. In fact the main reason I went with M-itx is so I can reuse the parts when I plan on doing it. Although I probably will not have a GPU in there and maybe put steamOS on there and use it to steam in-home streaming or something.

    theres nothing wrong with the charging side of things especially for mobile devices like laptops/cellphones/watches etc.. just as long as they dont eliminate all the cords eh
