A 6-corw, 12-threaded CPU. It's better for multi tasking. The Ryzen 5 3600 will give you equivalent performance for cheaper. Alternatively, the 8/16 Ryzen 7 3700X is the same price and superior in every way possible. It's the same in games, about 30-40% faster than then 9700K in rendering and streaming applications, uses less power, runs cooler and can be run easily on a 100 euro board. Not to mention you have an upgrade path to 12, 16 cores or even Zen3 next year. The 9700K is just,...not really good for the price or use case.

Rendering and streaming? I mean, your money but that's not the best for the price. It's not even good for the price considering a 6/12 option with similar or better performance in those tasks is much cheaper.
 
Anyhow, get a big cooler. The 9700k is hot and power hungry.

They shut one down but there are many others. It's actually very fun to play co op campaign 

Rather disappointing. Mods were always what made the Grand Theft Auto games so enticing on PC. 

Player hosted servers are still alive and well. I have one for all my friends and there are hundreds of others online I can see. Some are actually great

Making OpenIV stop won't make any more money from online. I use OpenIV and have never touched online. The only thing it will make me do is stop playing GTA V and have an attempt at a refund.
 
It would be nice if the OpenIV guys made one last version so we could all have a little fun. Take-Two and Rockstar can go do naughty things to themselves.
 
Edit: lolwait. If you have OpenIV and just choose "Uninstall Later" you can keep using it. Sue me, Rockstar.
Edit 2: I can already foresee 'illegal' distribution of OpenIV lol

Is openIV needed for the cheat tools people use online? I don't think it is, and if it isn't, then there was no point in taking this action.

Hmm, thinking about it, the new content update just dropped and they stopped dlc content being available in single player. The only way to get around this was using openIV.
It would seem the push of getting people online and buying sharkcards is stronger than ever now.

I just literally installed OpenIV about 4 hours ago for the first time to mod my GTA V...

But why though? 

I'll never buy a shark card, but it would seem the only reason right now to shut it down is to stop people using the new online content. The timing is spot on..
