  1. You should always get the PWM fans and in case of Arctic, their PWM PST fans are what I get. Reduces cable mess.

Does having multiple data vdevs with more redun…

I am thinking in the sense of an JBODer. I got multiple capacity vdevs in the same pool. 1TB disks in RZ3 and 500G disks in RZ3. So lets say, my 500G disk vdev had 3 disk failure and are in need of a resilvering, does that mean my I can use other array to recover entirety of the data?
  3. Does having multiple data vdevs with more redundant drives make any sense? How does pools with multiple data vdevs work? like jbod? fills the first vdev first then onto the next one?

RAID-0 (striping), as far as I'm aware. Unless you add additional vdev(s) later, then it sorta balances between them based on how full each vdev is.

You can gain some bandwidth, but I think for most "consumer" applications, there's not much to be gained over, say, two 4-wide RAIDZ-1s vs an 8-wide RAID-Z2...

  4. I am usually very anal about fan noise and performance P12 has everything going for it. Not to mention you can get two P12s for the price of 1 NF-A12.
  5. I am a huge Artic fan. I got like 20+ Arctic fans all around and I got nothing but praise for them. P12 is what I use all around.
  6. Depends on the games and many other factors.
  7. Are you certain you are not behind a cgnat? Also why is your internal clients are all phones none of this makes ANY sense.
  8. This is definitely not what I would have gone with. Things you listed aren’t exactly that demanding. Unnecessary K series cpu is unnecessary Why did you even put a graphics card in there? You already got a gpu.
  9. It’s designed that way. https://youtu.be/M04JlWTRQEA?si=MehlqFpYqM2x47sK
  10. These kinds of devices tend to have stickers on the back that will include model number.
  11. Just because you clock your CPU to 8ghz doesn’t mean it’s stable or performance scales as much. Usually these CPUS are just stable enough for CPUZ validation.
  12. Massive tinfoil story of mine below

    Spoiler

Nvidia sent Tom Petersen boost Intels entry into consumer GPU market so that they can withdraw from the market easily.

    You are correct.
  14. Since we still dont know what motherboard do you have. Looking at the CPU freq, I assume you got an A320 motherboard?
  15. What motherboard do you have? also can you post the link to your result?

I hope they wont butt fuck hashicorp. They got some great products that I use.

What size the is this frame? This thing looks MASSIVE compared to bikes I am looking at. You might be tall fella from what I am seeing here. I am planning on converting a mullet mtb to a ebike and reduced diameter might be beneficial for the motor as well so that is a great incentive for that motor surviving my fat ass. EDIT I have been thinking MAYBE 27.5 front and MAYBE 26 rear just so its geared low. 29 front and 29 rear did feel feel like a lifted truck to me.

Are you running a mullet setup? I hear it helps a shit ton and kind of want to do that myself.
  20. Not to mention their KVM actually has HDCP support too. It’s insane how much DRM is out there. OP I have a similar setup and cheapest solution I came up with was software. I set monitor inputs to auto. connect each monitor to each pc using separate inputs. Create shortcuts on both machines to turn screens off. use a software like Barrier to share kb and mouse. In the end I just got a desk and a 34” Uw for less than a kvm that fit my needs and completely separated my setups.
  21. Shout out to this guy. Great analogy.

This is surprisingly the standard analogy (at least if I'm remembering all the astronomy stuff I watched as a kid right)
