There's someone in my maths class who brings his macbook into lessons (nobody else brings a computer, but he wants to). In the middle of the lesson, he starts asking my friend which of the cars he was looking at was better... The same person wants to be an investment banker.

I'm in junior high school, and if the teacher sees you w/ your phone out you'll get yelled at, and if the teacher is particularly grumpy that day it'll get confiscated. Never mind a laptop.

Lol, even here they buy graphical calculators (these fancy €100+ calculators) and install Wolfenstein 3D on it and play it while "doing" their math homework. So couple of weeks ago I asked the friend of one of my class mates, who is at an atheneum class, what his grades were and he made me giggle a bit after he told me why his grades were quite lower then "usual", compared to the rest of his class mates.

Notice how ethics are not taught at school, only brought up as an excuse or what you should do. There needs to be an ethics class each and every year of elementary school, just like history, social studies, english (language) and math.
