  1. Comcast Xfinity is the absolute worst. Not only have they started capping data and charging for going over. They are using our rented routers as hotspots for other Comcast customers and potentially hackers. If someone uses your router hotspot to download illegal material you can be held liable. Glad I read this so I can turn it off.  https://20somethingfinance.com/how-to-opt-out-of-comcast-public-wifi-hotspot/

Anyone watching atm, live streams still aren't working. I'm looking into it asap while the WAN show is currently live.

I wan't able to figure it out in time. For anyone that has any experience with proper m3u8 formatting, Twitch, and/or Roku, I'd appreciate it if you'd take a look at the relevant issue that I've reopened on Github.

After tinkering all night, I was able to at least get live streams working again (or at least live streams from the LTT channel). Still no way to determine whether a sub is live or not, however.

Edit: There have been subsequent updates that I haven't created a new post for, but they are reflected in the changelog (second post), so be sure to check that out!

Thank you so much for making this. I had just been using the internet browser on my firestick so I was bummed when I got a new JVC Roku TV and they didn't have a browser. It works great. Can't wait to see if it will work Friday for WAN. I really appreciate your hard work!

Thanks! What do you want to see more of?

Did you video the Star Wars podcast? I would love to see it. I am one of the weird ones that watches podcasts :) You guys are doing great! If you did a separate subscription on FP for your channel I would subscribe. I know you guys are having to pay for your own tickets, do you all have a way for me to donate to that? The reviews are great. Especially loved the roast of Dolittle. I would like a review of The Mandalorian. I know it isn't a movie, but I still would like to hear your thoughts. The Invisible Man trailer looked interesting it come out Feb 28.  The Lodge is a horror movie that is coming out Feb 7, it is supposed to be good.I can't wait to see A quiet Place 2. It comes out late March and my girl Black Widow in May. So, yeah, those movies. Thanks guys! Keep killing it!

***I want to add Hansel and Gretel because it looks super weird.

And thanks, @Elektra57 for putting together the Hotel list. I was just about to start searching for a place to stay, so i really appreciate it.

Thanks! You can also download hopper. It is an app that will watch flights for you. I also forgot to mention that some websites have a mobile discount. so make sure to check it on your phone to see if there is a price difference. Last year Dreamhack had a hotel block and I know LTT had been checking for discounts. They usually release that info on WAN Show and the website which is: https://www.ltxexpo.com/ . Last year all the info was released including tickets by late February.

  5. There will be an official post regarding accommodations on https://www.ltxexpo.com/ from LTT when it gets closer to the time tickets are released. Last year it was the end of February.

Here is how I go about finding the best flights and hotels. The best tip is do not use just one site. Check around and find the best deal. I ended up getting the best deal going through the hotel website, not the booking site. You do not want to wait on these because the longer you wait the less availability these places will have.  Don't count Hostels out. Hostels in Canada are actually pretty nice and clean. The ones I looked at were well reviewed and some had free breakfast.

I have put some websites that I use below.

    For Hotels and Flights:

    https://www.kayak.com/

    https://www.trivago.com/

    https://www.booking.com/

    https://www.expedia.com

    https://www.hotwire.com

    https://www.momondo.com/

    https://www.airfarewatchdog.com/

    https://www.skyscanner.com/

These are homes and apartments owners rent out:

    https://www.homeaway.com/

    https://www.airbnb.com/

    https://www.vrbo.com/

    Hostels:

    https://www.hostelworld.com

  6. Edit: last year Dreamhack secured a block of rooms at a discount. I am sure they will do that again. They usually put that info out in February.

Ipaid a little more than $2,000 USD at Pinnacle Harbourfront. For a Harbour view room for 3 people. I really wanted a room with a view that was walking distance. Make sure to check the hotel website before you book off of kayak, trivago, booking, Priceline, etc. The hotel itself had the best deal. I wanted to do Airbnb this year but not finding anything close for less expensive than I paid last year. A lot of people who did byoc just stayed at the convention center.

  7. I download the Myfitnesspal app and have been tracking my calories. I joined DietBet. It is an app where you bet $ and if you meet your goal you at least win your money back or win more money. Just making small changes seems to have helped. Started out slow with working out. Listening to the new podcast http://carpoolcritics.libsyn.com/ while walking on my treadmill. Bought kettle bells. Not sure how to use them yet, lol. Would love to have a motorized standing desk like mkbhd. I need a new watch. My Fitbit is older and does not pickup my heart rate all the time. We can keep each other accountable and post what works. Fitness for nerds. Lol.

  8. I really enjoyed the editing video with iJustine and Taran. I would like to see some more editing videos from the LTT editors. Basic editing tips, editing software reviews, etc. I also really liked the video with Brandon against Linus with the Photography. Maybe some camera reviews and photo editing software reviews with Brandon. Show the people behind the scenes and how they do what they do. Like the camera guys. What cameras do they reccomend for vlogging, streaming, etc. What goes into writing a script for a video. I appreciate all of you talented people that we don't see as much.

  9. Last year someone posted about doing a weight loss challenge for LTX. This year I have already challenged myself to lose weight for LTX2020, but wanted to see if anyone else was interested. Maybe a friendly competition? I didn't realize how out of shape I was until I was running through the Houston Airport trying to catch my flight, I missed it btw. Hurt my knee and that was just the beginning. We walked a LOT in Vancouver. So if you think you are going to go from sitting all day to walking 5 miles in a day, I am here to tell you it hurts. I told my Sister, Fitbit was going to think my watch had been stolen. I went from 0 steps to 5 miles. Thanks to being frugal and walking from the hotel to the convention center, to Gastown for a flipping Ghost Tour which happened to be a walking tour, oh and walking all over Vancouver to find a dispensary UP HILLS. Lol. That is why yours truly did not miss a single panel. I felt miserable and hated asking for pics because I looked bleh. So yeah. Any takers?

  10. Lodging:

We stayed at the Pinnacle Harbourfront last year. I was on vacation and I wanted a room with a view. It was nice and I could walk to the convention center and to most restaurants. It was easy to get taxis to anywhere else. They had an amazing breakfast that we had comped since they messed up our room. We would not have been able to afford it otherwise since it was 25$ a person. We got the harbourview room with a rollout bed. We had 3 people and honestly we were barely in our room. The pictures are deceiving and I was disappointed when we got there. It was older than the website made it look. I won't be staying here this year unless I get a better price. I am looking forward to hear where other people stayed.

    Food:

If you stay somewhere that you get free breakfast, load up. Eat as much as you can. You can avoid eating during the convention if you do that lol. More time for panels and booths. Bring a water bottle (lttstore.com or merch booth)

Download "skip the dishes" it is like the Canadian Doordash. If you are looking for poutine I recommend Smokes Poutinerie it was delicious!

Spaghetti Factory was delicious and it is haunted. They give you a lot of food.

    Touristy things:

Honestly my Teen's favorite thing was the Sky train to LTT Studios.

If you don't do anything else Granville Island is a must. Tons of fresh food and it is located in a beautiful location.

Hop On Hop Off bus. It was a great way to see all of Vancouver and learn the history. It was 40$ a person but the ticket was good all day for two days.

Electric boat tour: you could do this with a discount from the Hop on Hop off bus. I would do this again. It was a tiny boat that is fully electric. It was super cute. He took you around the harbour. You got to get up close and personal with the Floatplanes and learn the history of Vancouver's waterfront. The most interesting thing I learned was about Dead Man's Island, the naval base. It reminded me of Poveglia.

Ghostly Vancouver: This is a walking tour. The guide walked very fast. His story telling was great. It was not scary at all. It was fun but I wouldn't do it again.

There was a lot we didn't get to see and do that I have on my list for this year. I want to go to Whistler, Grouse Mountain, and Capilano Suspension Bridge.

Make sure you have a good camera. I took pics with some of my fave people and they came out so bad. Dennis even made the comment "that's bad", lol. Get a charging pack.

    The LTT Office Tour:

I hope they offer this again. I had so much fun. It was worth it. I felt so bad for Linus. He was running back to back tours. There is no videoing allowed. You can take pics but no video or audio. Everyone was super nice. We were quiet in the work areas because people were working while we were there. We got to see all the sets and offices. The gaming lounge was super cool and seeing sets that you have seen on YouTube for years is surreal. Linus was thorough and at the end he tools pics with everyone and we got to ask him questions. It is very hard to find the office. We took the Sky Train and got off at the wrong stop. We took a taxi the rest of the way. We were lost in Surrey for a while. So make sure you give yourself a lot of time and know where you are going.

    The convention:

They line up early. The line to get into the convention was wrapped and long. I blew out my knee running through the airport so I stayed in the stage area and didn't miss a single panel, lol. The panels were amazing. James was an excellent Emcee. There wasn't a single panel that I didn't find interesting. My sister and son did the booths. The lines were too long for them to do a lot so I hope that is fixed this year. All the creators are super nice. Get to the merch booth early. That line never died down. Don't forget to enter the raffles at the different booths. They will draw for prizes. Make friends! I made a couple friends in the stage area that watched my seat for me. My son made friends in the free play area. He is an introvert but being around other introverts was great for him.

LTX is worth it. Vancouver is a magical city. They care about the environment and everyone is super nice. I hope everyone else posts their recommendations, tips, and tricks.
