  1. It might be throttling because of high temps. Drop the multiplier with 1.3V till its stable.
  2. Its a bad game. 4770K 4,3GHz and its a slideshow in large cities. Cpu usage is crazy high and you need a 6-core min to get stable 60fps.
  3. Should be. Its not great but its better than stock cooler and 8400 does not require a monster cooler anyway.
  4. A bit pricey at least in EU. I would go for Katana 5 in that size. Arctic freezer 33 co (under 20€) if a taller tower fits in the case.
  5. https://www.xiaomitoday.com/jonsbo-u5-computer-case-specs-features/ Lets try that url Its about 110€ here if you buy 5x Arcitc p12 pwm fan pack with it.
  6. 1000h idle and you have a 1kwh difference Way better and a very good point sir.
  7. You think the grandparents will be running prime 95 avx? Heat will make no difference on this use case.
  8. This is based on what? Skylake-cores are pretty much identical to 8000-series or even 9000-series.
  9. Nuc is the best thing that has happened to office and browsing pc:s in a decade. But don't cheap out, get at least an i3. Even the i5 is not that expensive for 4c8t model.
  10. That 180W 12V is more than enough for that system. You're in serious trouble if your ssd, hdd and 3 fans need 80W:s, something is broken or you're running some crazy fans. Id say those are max 20W:s, maybe less if hdd is 5400rpm. But that is only true if the psu is really capable of giving what the sticker says.
  11. No. And if you measure what your computer draws from the wall, you have psu efficiency to think of too. Often 6-10% even with good psu:s. 600W psu giving 600W to parts should draw 600x(1/efficiency)W from wall.
  12. You will always encounter bottle-necking in some programs. No matter what HW you put in.
  13. But buy something else if you dont already have it.
  14. Well that stock setup should work just fine for that. 2 intakes through filter and 1 exhaust. If you have 4 exhaust fans with just 2 intakes you will easily start to intake air from every hole in the case.
  15. So what is wrong with the temps? That motherboard is not a great one(none of Asus b450 lineup is) but it should handle a 6-core oc'd fairly well. It gets warmer than a good board with way better vrm but its not throttling your cpu.
  16. Scythe Mugen5 orFuma and Thermalright Macho rev B are all quite nice for about 40-50€:s. Silentiumpc Fortis 3 is a bit cheaper at 35€. Prices from amazon.de, could be cheaper on other countries.
  17. Fans are not that expensive. Its like 10€:s for 2x Arctic p12 here and it includes postages.
  18. Who is running their pc in a purpose built quiet room? Just unreasonable... Plus low rpm fan with low airflow and Capxon inside? No thanks unless 7-10 year warranty.
  19. 850rpm aint really that much. Depends a lot on what case you have and where you place it. Under your desk and psu intake on bottom through a filter, and youll barely hear it in a city apartment at day time.
  20. Its bad because its expensive. At least here you can get Scythe Fuma/Mugen 5 or Thermalright Macho for 20€ less. The worst part is that it beats Silentiumpc fortis 3 by only 3C with 8700K 1,3V @ 4800GHZ. Fortis 3 costs 35€:s.
  21. That reasoning turned out to be utter nonsense as many high tier psu:s(G2 has the exact same thing a bit worse) have same so called problems. Just read reviews from experts and if they score a 100$ psu well it should be just fine. The hatred towards G3 here comes from a misunderstood review by Tomshardware. Its pretty much on the basis that one psu broke down when reviewed, you dont have a line of psus where none break down so that should not be a strike against just one psu model. Same should be applied to any psu that has been known to break at least once.
  22. Can you show me where I was wrong? Or is it rude to point out that these kind of lists are only as good as the people putting them together. There should be a real reason to put some psu:s that have done well on reviews to same tiers as budget models that are worse on almost every level. If a 100$ dollar psu is equal to 50$ one, it will get trashed on reviews. I would like to see someone explain how the reviewers got it so wrong, and why some random posters are more trustworthy on the matter than experts.
