My Iphone SE is dying to the point where it can't be repaired and I need a new phone sometime soon. I don't have a set budget (maybe around $300- $400)  but I want a good value that will last at least few years. I don't care whether iPhone or Android or whether refurbished or new but it needs to work on Verizon. Thanks for any help!

Well the first thing you need to know is what 4g bands do you use? Download this app called signal Spy, it tracts your location to determine your 4g band. But something like a OnePlus 5t or a xiaomi mi mix 3 should do you fine.

The interface is SO much better than any other phone. I pick up an iPhone, straightforward, you have what you need on the screen with a few gestures or obvious search/menu/accessibility screens, but I pick up an android and I get lost in blocks, pages, swipes, built-in search bars, etc. I say "I" But it's everyone. IOS>Anything for interface, which makes up for if the hardware is lacking.

Oh, plus, with many androids, you can't update it. or you shouldn't. With IOS you get a guaranteed 3 years for upgrades but it's usually around 5.

the updates I agree with but the interface is honestly the same. I got my first smartphone and I found it really easy to use. Keep in mind I came from an iPod and basically all Apple products and this is before I became tech savvy.

It sounds like the OP 7 Pro would be perfect for you (minus the headphone jack). Would a dongle be good enough? The 7 pro comes with one

It does? from all of the reviews I've seen, it doesn't. But yes, I would be fine with a dongle.

Whats best for you depends on what you want and like. Not what we want and like. So of you could tell us in more detail how you plan to use the device, what need it to have, want it to have, and what you don't want it to have, then I can start narrowing down the selection for you.

Keep in mind what phone you are currently using. Why you are replacing it. What about it that you like and dislike.

If you get a new phone that is going to easily end up with the same set of problems you have now, then you have made a poor purchasing decision.

I generally want a flagship phone that will last me a couple of years. I mostly would use the phone for listening to music (via 3.5 mm jack), watching videos and browsing on social media and maybe play games. Also, a phone that doesn't crash a lot and actually receives phone calls and text (my current phone has this problem A LOT!) I generally want an all screen phone with a pop up camera for starting conversations but also I don't use my selfie camera a lot so for me, it's wasted space. Also, decent battery life, up to all day, as well as no notch unless it's a very small teardrop notch.

  5. So I'm looking into getting a new phone and I found a lot of decent choices. can you guys recommend some from this list? I'm upgrading from an ASUS Zenfone Max Plus M1 and I plan to put a Windows Phone Launcher. I also use the headphone jack. I live in the US and use T-Mobile.

1080p 30fps or 60fps? Because my 4GB RX 580 fares very well on Davinci Resolve, but I can only confirm that for 30fps. I think it did quite well on 60fps, although it mainly uses VRAM so a 6GB card would be preferable.

Especially on 4K editing Resolve needs more VRAM.

This is only for playback, for rendering Resolve still uses mostly CPU. You could always totally 'generate optimized media', which does.. What you would expect from a name like that; it makes video content that is easier to play (which does take some time and mostly uses up HDD, or CPU, depending on how fast your HDD is or if you use an SSD, it will mostly use CPU).

    probably 1080p 30 FPS, maybe 60.

ok just dont buy from amazon or walmart.

go from pc builder like origin or cyberpower. they tend to use off the shelf component that are easier to replace and most of the time do a better job of building the machine

    Do they accept PayPal?

Wait. What? If you don't have a Windows 10 phone, why do you want to get one to put android on? Why not just get an Android phone?

If you wish to test Win 10 phone now, you are going in knowing it's a bit of fun, and not really going to be productive as a useable phone if you want up to date security/apps (though just for calls, I see no reason why it cannot be used :) ).

I plan to start with the windows phone for a while because the hardware in some of them are really good. but once the phone stops working properly, then I plan to install Android if I can. I mostly plan to do simple stuff like calling, texting, photos, and videos. maybe Instagram and light youtube through MyTube!.
