A320 is prob bad for mem OC, and ryzen tends to have trouble reaching high ram OC.

XMP is garbage and often creates more headaches than what its worth. The best way to hit the rated speeds of the modules is to key in the speeds, timings, and voltages manually. You can usually find the rated timings and voltages on either the product page of the RAM, or the sticker for each module. Do this 1 stick at a time to ensure you don't have a bad module.

First off ensure you have the LATEST bios version flashed this can be found on your MOBO manufacturers website & instructions found in your MOBO Manual.

I have a ryzen 5 1600 based system and have seen a great increase in memory compatibility with updating my Bios.

My 3200 kit would not run anywhere near 3200 no matter what I tried... I also had a 2400 kit that refused to run well.. I just settled with having them run at 2133..

After the updates the 3200 kits runs well at 2933 @ 1.35v all timings in Auto.  My 2400 kit runs at 2667mhz at 1.35v timings in auto.

yeah, Ryzen is already very picky about memory, and the A320 just makes things worse.

you might be able to find a stable RAM overclock if you do it manually rather than using XMP.

That's what you get for using A320 motherboard

1st gen Ryzen with latest BIOS isn't that picky.

Anyway, try to set it to 2666 Mhz, 1.35V and CAS latency found on the box. If it boots and is stable, try to go up to 2933, 3000 and finally 3200

Thank you, For the noise, due to the server going to be in a basement, away from most stuff and at the most will be surrounded by walls. My biggest issue is that my friend would have problems building his own solution, thats why premade is the only way for me to go. and thus I think that a dell server can be a better thing. Mostly due to price for a prebuilt, that would fit in a rack, so to that everything is in one place with all the network wiring, around 20 from the house already in place, plus the systems.
