  1. Do you have any idea what khogal is, i had a quick google but didn’t find anything par a festival or something. May be able to help us some more...
  2. Probably restarted itself or the command failed? There may have been a problem where there was a ‘lock’ on the file that wasn’t removed as you force-quit the sub-process.
  3. No do not do that!!!! paramount if you 1. Do not know what you’re doing and 2. What that program is. You should not be able to anyway...
  4. Play music... Two minute timer. Read the weather/notifications for you.
  5. The problem was, and I think I was lucky, the partition table had been completely zeroed out (the partition locations) and was hence seen as a blank disk. In order to fix that I downloaded the gparted live ISO and booted off of it. I te ran TestDisk from terminal.
  6. Thanks, I will try this later but I think I may know what the problem might have been. i think it might have been me using GRUB legacy as it was MBR. Apparently it doesn’t recognise new disks
  7. It really depends on where you go though.
  8. That really does depend on your speed. The thing that is certain, however is the increase in latency from wired to wireless. Effectively making quick operations much slower. What was wrong with the cable anyway?
  9. Depending on your storage there may be a problem with the size of hiberfil.sys pagefile.sys and the other .sys all based on your memory size.
  10. If you have access to the PC, please read up about the BSOD posting requirements pinned on this sub.
  11. I have currently got a new system 16GB of DDR4-2667 MHz memory. I am planning on using storeMI in order to create a fusion drive whilst still retaining all of my data from my previous machine. The initial transfer from old machine to my current one was fine... The problem occurred when I was converting my MBR disk to GPT via the command line. Whilst I was converting the drive I got a BSOD with the error: 'MEMORY MANAGEMENT'. I can no longer boot (through GRUB) into my drive. Hence the lack of BSOD files present in this post. Please help as i'm worried I've lost all my data... Just some extra info: The memory in UEFI shows up The pc was acting faster than before today. Drivers are up to date as the system is brand new. Thanks in advance.
  12. maybe splash out a bit more on a pro due to the longer tbw and warranty. Also, they technically have slightly higher speeds according to their marketing.
  13. according to userbenchmark it performs better by 10% but a 1070ti beats it by 7%. https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-2060-6GB-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1070-Ti/4034vs3943 If you have RTX on it would be much worse i've heard. also it's probably better to find actual test benches done by people like ltt.
