  1. This is a perfect example. You can just call the company LTT and refer to is as such. If anyone asks what it stands for you can simply answer "It used to be Linus Tech Tips but now its just LTT"
  2. I swear the "community" as of late exists only to make a mountain out of a mole hill. The video was sponsored by Seasonic, and that was disclosed. Does that matter, nope. Is it a conflict of interest, of course not. Is them talking to Seasonic about what kind of testing equipment to get a conflict of interest? Nope, its smart research. Seasonic is a forefront in the industry in regards to power supplies, why wouldnt you want input from some one like that. They arent making the equipment so they can weigh the machine to work better with their stuff, they are simply educating. Labs did their own research and chose their equipment layout for what they felt was needed. At some point some of you people are just gonna have to start trusting others until they give you a VALID reason not to. This whole "question everything/ everyone" attitude that is being abused lately is annoying and producing a lot of unneeded white noise. If you are sure that there is no credibility left in the world than go hide in a bunker and wait for the end because "the sky is falling" attitude is played out. I swear some people think that kind of thinking makes them smart, but you come off as the opposite.
  3. @Magnus33wasnt the shirt released on the same day as the warranty? Or is my timeline getting messed up. Like I mean I guess the shirt was released at the start of the WAN show and the Warranty was talked about part way in but to me thats the same thing as being released at the same time. Or are you saying youd prefer it was deferred by like a week?
  4. The trust me bro shirt was funny AF to me, people are to damn sensitive and cant take a joke. You can take something seriously but also have fun with it, more people should
  5. ........... I dont think we are disagreeing on anything. I agree a regular bit would still give some extra clearance, but the handle still isnt supporting a longer bit either so youd still need to have storage outside the standard driver itself. But I dont think you are disagreeing on that?
  6. I just measured my snap on one and its 9.5 inches from the handle to the end of the empty shaft, I would imagine the ltt one will exceed the 7 inches allowed. Wow part of that could be taken out of context lol
  7. For sure you can, it just means having to have one in your tool box/drawer as it doesnt have storage for one. IF the ltt driver holds up to the hype than I absolutely hope they do a stubby, id add them to my tool box.
  8. My concern with that Wera is the fact that the driver gets fat immediately after the bit. I could see that becoming an issue quickly when using it in a tight place.
  9. For anyone thinking about flying for this I hope they dont forget that I am pretty sure you cant do carry on with a screwdriver so you are gonna have to check baggage, which right now is not a fun thing in Canada as the airlines are a cluster f*ck right now. I thought about driving out from Alberta but I already have commitments for the weekend
  10. You certainly deserve a response from support team, but it also doesnt seem to be a problem on the LTT side, it seems like it a problem with the shipper
  11. Its not the exact thing you listed but the Lian Li O11 D EVO would be close. You done have side fans on the left but you have the ability to put fans on the top, bottom and right side as well as back, it has enough drive spots for you. You can get a mesh kit to add fans in the front, and you can get an additional front IO panel to give you a total of 2 USBc and 4 USB-a inputs. The only miss based on your list of wants is its going to have a glass side panel. https://lian-li.com/product/o11-dynamic-evo/
  12. No you are wrong, they started with licensing IP then altered it, then they designed their own handle and bit loader. Its a unique driver to them, not a "rebranded" driver. Im not sure why you have such a hard on for hating a product that hasnt even launched yet. And if you have been paying attention to LTT videos at all over the last 2 years you would have seen constant updates talking about design changes they made to the handle and the ratchet mechanism.
  13. I also think that wave 3 will slow down a bit but then wave 4 will sell quicker because there will be some urgency involved "in getting one before they're gone". That mentality can definitely drive sales
  14. Im guessing he contacted LTT and worked out a deal to get a couple for review purposes. Even if he paid for them outright its not uncommon practice for companies to give advanced/first wave stock to reviewers. Helps potential customers make buying decisions when there are reviews of the product out there from multiple sources, especially if they are independant.
  15. The 4 waves are the first initial orders they put in, they have said they plan to have it as a regular stocked item so there will be more orders as needed, at least thats how they seemed to explain it
  16. Its 100% not rebranded, as for tolerances and what not, I guess we will wait and see. Lets be honest, Linus loved his orange snap on driver and if he wanted to just rebrand one he would have gotten that one and launched this thing like 2 years ago and started making money then. Others have rebranded that same hard handled driver so the option is out there. I'm not as cynical as you, I'm gonna give them a shot. I use ratcheting screwdrivers everyday at work, I make my money with them. I'll order one and if its as good as they tout than Ill buy one for each of my toolboxes and one for home, if they aren't then Ill stick to my snap on one even though I feel its not a perfect design its still one of the better ones Ive used.
  17. Ya I assumed as such, it would just be surprising me if the shirt they "designed" isn't basically the same as someone else's design, I mean there are only so many ways you can design a tshirt blank inside a reasonable budget.
  18. What are you basing "better quality" on? I was unaware people outside the company had hands on experience yet with the LTT driver. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I am saying you are making an assumption. Maybe you will be right, maybe the LTT driver will be subpar when it launches, but one other possibility is that it launches and is a fantastic tool that out performs the Wera. Until we get hands on we don't know so I think making statements saying other drivers are better is factually unfounded.
  19. They have said they are using "their own blanks now" but since they don't own a textile factory I am not sure exactly what that means. I might order one just to see how it compares to the others I have and base my decision to buy more on that sample
  20. You can call me an asskisser if you want, I assure you your opinion of me means zero in my world. Conversely I would say you aren't trying to make anything better, you are simply trying to start/continue drama where there shouldn't be any. Lets look at the screwdriver bit issue that's currently being discussed here so we stay on track. 6 bits isn't "useless", its actually standard in a lot of ratcheting drivers, or for example the snap on one can hold more but its not in an organized holder, its inside the handle where you just unscrew the end and pour the bits out to find what you need. Between the option of it coming with 12, but can be reduced to 6, or having a handle where the end unscrews and having the bits loose, ill take the first option. Also if you break one bit and had to replace it with a standard the capacity only actually drops to 11 but lets not look at that because it weakens your troll stance Also as stated it increases the magnetic grip that the driver will have on a screw, as someone who makes their living using things like ratcheting screwdrivers I can tell you that that is worth A LOT in the professional world. Dropping a screw in a case for example that gets stuck under the board and means removing the hardware to get it out costs time and causes frustration, its not common that would happen but when it does you will lose your mind. Or in my world where I work on vehicle dashes, dropping a screw into a dash can easily turn into 30-60 minutes of extra disassembly and reassembly depending on where that screw went, once again that higher magnetic force is very valuable in those instances. So in short, its not a stupid option, it just is to you hence why I said then don't buy it. I'm not sure why that's hard for you to get through your head. The product upsets you and doesn't suit you so don't get it, that's not being an apologist for LTT, its telling you to select an obvious option in front of your face. I find it odd that you seem to fancy yourself the morale compass of the corporate world, trying to hold LTT to some standard you've decided they need to recognize. What makes you an expert, or are you just some keyboard warrior online that decided you wanted to try to make yourself more important by trying to call out a company on an engineering choice they made that you are to uneducated about to understand. YOU are the kind of problem in the world we need to solve. To many people without a clue think their opinions need to be taken as fact by the rest of the world or else we are evil. Grow up and learn a thing or two before you decide to call everyone out on the carpet, your embarrassing
  21. Cool, than do that. No one said you need to get it. If you have an issue with the company than dont support it. If you dislike LTT that much than why are you even here. Also I like how you have decided the others would be of better quality without putting your hands on an LTT one yet. Im not saying the LTT one will be the best, but im not gonna jump to conclusions yet either. I have several high end ratcheting screwdrivers I use for my work and Ill give theirs a shot as well and decide once the product is actually in my hands. And show me a customer they "shafted" so far. Show me a customer that had a product issue they didn't take care of. A bunch of entitled children (figuratively) online bitching about a written warranty aren't shafted customers.
  22. The bits are shorter but he also stated it will hold a standard bit in the shaft, but if you want to load up the top you would only be able to hold 6 bits instead of 12. I get your point but its not like its totally useless without their bits, just lower capacity.
  23. There is a 1 star review right now from someone complaining that customer support hasn't responded to them asking when their Aug. 8th backpack order will be shipped, even though all the info is right there in the description of that pack. People like that guy creates an overload in customer support
  24. He is right though, the warranty is only worth something if the company has the integrity to back it up, and he did admit that Luke was right about how he cant just assume someone knows their history with customer service. And considering he started by saying he handled the response badly I think saying he was "in full defensive mode" and was "trying to say the viewers are wrong" was very disingenuous unless you watched a different WAN show
  25. They already announced on Twitter that there will be a written warranty on Backpack before it ships, hopefully everyone can calm down now EDIT I should have been more specific, Nick Light tweeted that
