  1. You shouldn‘t get a video out from the slot in your board, because there is no gpu connected to it, it‘s for the ryzen XXg series because they have a built in igpu. Check your mobos manual to see what the leds indicate
  2. You will need a compatible cpu at first, but every compatible one doesn't require a newer bios to boot, howerver I'd reccomend updating the bios for better stability once you have booted it and ensured it works.
  3. I'd say 5.2 or 5.3 on 24/7 is extreme, but I wouldn't run my 9900k @5Ghz with just one eps connector
  4. If you actually look for an open test-bench like case I can reccomend the raijintek paean with the glass panel on top, so I don't have dust falling into it. If you really want to do the wood case, make sure it can't burn cause thing like vrm heatsinks and such get pretty warm. Otherwise @ImNotThereis right with his suggestions
  5. I've never had problems with my 3 msi boards and a friend of mine neither, you might've just been unluck. @dizmo
  6. maybe a cheap old xeon off of ebay on a dual socket would give you enough cores and enough memory channels to get used ddr3 ecc dimms for. Otherwise a 3900x or 3950x should do the trick pretty well and you should look into a lot of ram, cause gamer server love ram
  7. Why wouldn't you reccomend a msi board and what manufacturer do you reccomend?
  8. That'll run well together, howerver that i5 might soon be overwhelmed by new 3d renderers like Vulkan and DirectX 12, which use more core rather a single one heavier.
  9. I guess it has got something to do with sata signal integrity which could be compromised by the power delivered from the 24-pin. Some manufacturers are nice and turn them 90° so they don't come close to you gpu
  10. First, I didn‘t even know there are 4 pin pcie power cables. Second, I feel like you need a new psu, for that just have a look at the psu tier list and get something from tier A or B, doesn‘t have to be that expensive a 500w bronze should be enough
  11. Look in your mobo manual which slots to use for ram if you only use 2 dimms, because most boards usually use a2 and b2 for dual dimm operation. Yours might b me different so look it up just to be sure
  12. I use the rgb version of them on my ek thick rad and I am impressed how much air they move through that 6cm thick fins at around 40 - 50% with my corsair pump being louder
  13. 110-120$ isn‘t an amazing prize for a used 2600 especially now that there‘s basically the 1600 AF a 12nm version of it. A used rx 580 for that prize might be a little difficult unless you buy a cheap model or a mining card, idk if they are still a thing on used markets.
  14. I‘m using a 9900k a MSI Z390 ACE and eks monoblock for it, the pump is that new corsair one, the fans ml rgb pro and my rad a thick 360 from ek.
  15. The windows option only shows what the monitor reports it's capable of, I'd trust the nvidia control panel and say it's running at 60Hz
  16. nvidia enabled vesa vrr (AMD freesync) support in their driver a while back, its not guaranteed to work but worth a shot, otherwise according to friend of mine which uses a 1440p 144Hz panel with freesync (on a 2070) that isn'ta big issue.

  18. For mouse and keyboard there are the before mentioned options, for the screens you could try to plug in one pc via hdmi and the other via dp and switch between them as the source for each monitor the logitech mx master 3 has the option to use it on 3 different pcs, through pushibg a button on the bottom, not sure about keyboards tho
  19. I have similar problems with my laptop from work where its just cause its underpowered, but your issue seems like something else
  20. the stock paste and the stock cooler will keep it reasonably cool if you don't heavily oc it
  21. I recently tuned my fans and pump, so i know how silent corsair ml 120 rpo rgbs can be and I'd say, just get some silent fans, if tuned correctly they'll be more silent than your pump. Yes it is technically possible but not really practical. (reasons above)
  22. according to userbenchmark (https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-RX-Vega-64-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1070-Ti/3933vs3943 ) 1070ti seems to be better than a vega 64 and the 1080 is too expensive (in my opinion) for a used card
  23. take the gpu out and look in your bios where to change the default display output and set it to onboard igpu
  24. to be fair google stadia was a fail, at least here in Germany because of the latency of our internet. And it says on their page that it also works on macs, so I guess you can use it with everything...
