  1. Even if it is soldered to the motherboard next to the CPU ???
  2. Hello everyone, I recently bought an 8GB RAM stick to replace a 4GB one. My laptop has now a total of 12GB of RAM (yes that's strange) : 4GB soldered and 8GB unsoldered. However this is a laptop equipped with a GTX 950m and its 2GB of dedicated V-RAM. I launched GPU-Z to see if the type of V-RAM is the same as the normal RAM and guess what ?! It is [I joined screenshots of GPU-Z concerning my GPU and of CPU-Z concerning my RAM]. So here's my question : My laptop has a grand total of 14GB (4+8+2) of RAM and V-RAM [in the same DDR3 (Hynix) format], can I increase the amount of dedicated V-RAM for my Nvidia GTX 950m from 2 to 3 or 4GB ? Hope I was clear.
  3. So I've run it and this time after 2 minutes it got stuck at 73419 files scanned, without the name of it and Chrome crashed, then my computer stopped working for like 5 minutes and blue screen of death with an error code : DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE... Again I didn't know what happened... I don't have any information about the file that crashed everything.
  4. Ok just let me a minute and I'll run a Full Scan
  5. I have a SSD from Samsung (850 Pro 512GB) that I bought on December 2018.
  6. Actually at about 5 minutes it slows down itself and anything running on the computer for like 2-3 minutes and then Windows Defender crashes/closes in a snap.
  7. [This is my post moved from Programs, Apps and Websites] Hi, I started a Full Scan on Windows Defender and after 5 minutes it stops at about 2801452 items scanned. My laptop gets stuck and I can't do anything (even opening the Start Menu with Windows Key is a pain). Can someone help me ? Btw it does the same for Custom Scan... Thx P.S.: I won't be able to provide screenshots because everything is blocked, obviously.
  8. I've just check the BIOS and I have no bluetooth enable/disable option. However when I left the BIOS, bluetooth recovered miraculousely. I don't even know what the hell my computer was doing but it is solved. Thanks for helping me anyway
  9. Hi everyone, It has happened today, I was playing video-games and suddendly, while I was connecting my JBL Charge 3 to my laptop, bluetooth disappeared. Windows Parameters says I've got no bluetooth on this PC. Device Manager doesn't show my bluetooth card but started showing an 'Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)'. Services.msc still shows Blutooth Service Support. I've already browse accross the net but nothing helped me. What I've done : - rebooting my computer ; - uninstalling the mysterious unknown USB device ; - scanning for hardware changes ; - disabled the unknown device and enabled it back ; - rebooting again my laptop... I don't know what else I can do. It has happened to me once and it came back enabled and working until now. What can I do now ? PC configuration in my bio.
  10. Hi everyone on this forum, I need your help because I've got a big problem. So, this morning I woke up and went to my laptop for my everyday internet routine BUT it didn't turn on... Well I was a bit disapointed, I've tried many things like booting without SSD, half-RAM, change thermal paste... and finally I did a BIOS reset (removing the battery of CMOS) and it worked. HOWEVER I shut it down and when I tried to turn it on again, guess what ? IT DIDN'T BOOT UP... and from now I have only one solution : 1) Resetting my BIOS each time I shut my computer down to turn it on again... So if anyone could explain me WHY this f*cking thing happens and how I could "cure" and repair this problem without damaging my data. Here's my config : ASUS R510J-XX068H Motherboard X550JX Intel Core i5-4200H NVIDIA GTX 950m 8GB RAM Samsung 860 Pro 512GB Please help me, professionnal help needed if possible. Thanks in advance.
  11. I know. Thanks for your comment and after a restart of my system the problem looks like it has been solved.
  12. Okay I've launched a game and the CPU goes at 100% but most of the usage was due to the game (OverWatch). My monitor is integrated with a resolution of 1366*768p @ 60Hz.
  13. Hi everyone on this forum, It's been less than a year that my laptop started to drop frames while playing videogames (I play with my laptop plugged to electricity). And by opening a task manager, I noticed that my CPU usage was at 100 %. I thought that I may have a bottleneck but by submitting my specs into TheBottlenecker, it says that my grphics card was too weak for my CPU. Here's the specs of my gaming laptop : Intel - Core i5-4200H @ 2.80 GHz (Turbo @ 3.20 GHz) ASUS - Motherboard model X550JX (Laptop models) Samsung - 4GB DDR3L @ 800 MHz (and 4GB sodered to the MB, that makes a total of 8GB) NVIDIA - Geforce GTX 950m 2GB Samsung - SSD 860 PRO 512GB SATA III Can you help me solve this problem ?
  14. Hi everybody, I play Destiny 2 for one year and I like pretty much the in-game cursor. So does anyone here know where and / or how to get it ? Thanks in advance !
