I have accepted the failure of the GPU on my Dell Precision M6400 and will not replace it but I desire a system that will not fail on me. I reballed a HD 4850 and have the fans at 100% and works fine for over 2 weeks now. I believe a high fan speed like Delta Fans will mitigate GPU failure. But I am also afraid of getting newer components as I dont know if they are built well. Any advice will be welcomed but if I cannot get help I will replace the system with something that does not fail in only a few months. I will not reball the NVIDIA Quadro FX 3700M as it will fail again.

Amazing. I think that people will just accept that things are the way they are and will continue to purchase the Graphics Card.
-
I mean bad for the customer. It's mind-boggling that people will still purchase these Graphics Cards in my opinion.

First off, the RTX 2080 Ti can barely do Ray-Tracing and it appears that the RTX 2060 will only have 30 tensor cores, it's no faster than a GTX 1070 for $400. Any opinions.

I am wondering how powerful these GPU's would have been if released in 2006-2009 period? I found a weird evidence that the 9900 GTX existed but your opinion can be discussed. The Information on these GPU's are in a Rich Text Document that has pictures and sounds on it. Sorry I couldn't include it on this post they are just too much information. The files are virus scanned on Mediafire. The Rich Text Document has a GPUZ like information on this card so it's fully detailed. http://www.mediafire.com/file/xnjidsy6hwh7gue/Most+powerful+Graphics+Cards+ever+created..rar Most powerful cards as for their time and what they are capable at their specific task.

Thank you for your quick and easy response, I guess I will have to buy new batteries then.

Home-Lab sporting 2007-2011 hardware. Most of the stuff you see in-front of you is already a decade or over a decade old. I have a spare 8800 GTX lying around. It's non-functional but perfect as decoration. Dell Precision M6400 with around 10 Chrome tabs open. most of the time I use this laptop as a dumb terminal. -
Zort, Mark this answer as the solution, He did a Professional calculation. Just make sure you don't overclock anything. .

Perhaps we could use phones as dumb terminals that link up to a Powerful Quantum Computer in the future? -

Brain chips already exist. However I imagine they could be very expensive. Some in the Millions, Others in the Billions. I doubt Trillions. depends on which type, maybe only $1500 for one. And Phones are dead to me. iPhone XS are already starting to report damage. -
Most of the time though it's a dumb terminal. Splash-top Remote

Well I can run 10 tabs although a bit sluggish. CPU usage at around 50% in this picture but it was at 100% when it was loading everything I forgot to say this machine has 2 200GB H.D.D's in Raid 0. I'm actually surprised. It would for sure work on a newer system far smoother.
