  1. I don't post very often but given this video I felt it was necessary. LMG has hires around 10 employees and spends hundreds of thousands of dollars on equipment for filming, editing, storing and rendering their videos. And yet still release videos with out of sync audio, random crappy sounds in the background and hissing during the add segment plus Luke looks like he hasn't slept in a week. "Thanks for watching guys, if this video sucked you know what to do." And I did, probably the first video in a long time I have disliked. C'mon - this isn't what we expect, look at the comments and you'll see others have the same opinion. What happened to quality over quantity?
  2. I voted 2. I can hear it and accept it if it is completely silent in my room and I concentrate on being able to hear it. But any amount of noise beyond that, headphones or no headphones, idle or full load is completely unacceptable after I had a mid to low end system that was super quiet due to producing very little heat. This means I have to send a lot of graphics cards back due to them being noisy, even if reviews write that they are near silent (R9 290 Gaming and a GTX 780 Lightning both failed to impress) and I couldn't use my PC for a week cause I had no low noise adapters when I got a H440 and found the stock fans too loud. Currently testing undervolting on a 780 reference card to save the fans having to spin too much under load and think I have finally found a high end card that meets my needs.
  3. I knew why noctua stuck with their colour scheme cause of how recognisable it made them, but am glad they have changed their ways. Now they can make a butt ton of money to put towards developing more advanced products. However this doesn't change anything to me as I liked the 2 tone beige/brown and you take it any day over more "popular" colour schemes.
  4. #35 Never use a TN panel.
  5. Holy balls batman they're actually cheaper in the UK? £200 over here if you look around. Onto the headphones themselves, I think it is worth noting that closed headphones are not such an amazing experience for people who wear glasses. The frame prevents the ear from being completely isolated allowing interference and the added clamping force on the frame can make them uncomfortable.
  6. Been planning getting an NH 14 and a Z77 MPower for a while now, and last night was pleasantly suprised to see a build with those components on the livestream last night. What was more surprising is that I have already watched a lot of videos due to them being very relevant and nice to watch. Also nice to find someone else who appreciates the noctua colour scheme.
  7. (NB I normally use Optimus_Toaster, but I joined this forum when it started so I chose Toaster so I could be the purest of the toasting appliances, giving me dominion over all others) I was watching transformers 2, specifically the scene in which Sam drops the shard of cube and it melts his floor landing in the kitchen animating every appliance. From there I went on to imagine how poopy it would be if you a robot killing machine, but transformed into a toaster. My friend followed suit using Optimus Fridge, and then a people we gamed with changed to Optimus Sink, Optimus Microwave and Optimus Kettle when we played MW2 together. People really liked it and me and Fridge stuck to it though the others changed back to their original names. I still get the odd person commenting on it in BF3 every now and again.
  8. My favourite is Noctua. Really love everything about them from their superb quality to the customer care (free 1150 mounting kit anyone?). Including the colour scheme. Yes I enjoy the two tone brown, matches my slippers and floorboards. Next along: Steelseries (like the simple appearance over immense quality and engineering) Bitfenix (I feel they understand people care what their case looks like) Samsung (Nearly every storage device I use is made by them plus they made the laptop that got me into PC gaming) MSI (Love the push they are making towards offering their products in different colours, the clean look of their MoBos and the twin frozr 3 cooler)
  9. I bought a CM storm Quickfire Rapid (Cherry MX Browns) and absolutley loved it. However when disaster struck and the connection to my coputer became unreliable and it had to be sent back, I had to go back to a crappy MS 600 membrane keyboard. It was terrible, and I hated pretty much everything about it. It felt like you were typing on sponge and the keys were odd shapes. One good thing was how impact proof it was; surviving every one of my rage moments. Weeks past due to complications with my replacement of the CM keyboard and I was looking at buying another Mech as a stand in until the replacement arrived. Then one day I was in my parents loft where I found a really old beige keyboard using a PS2 connection. Still covered in dust I plugged it into the port on the back of my MoBo's PS2 connector ("I do still like to see these" - sound familiar) and it worked! Moreover typing on it feels very "mechy" as the keys definitely have some clunk to them. It's still definitely a membrane (I took it apart as one of the rubber things had gotten dislodged) but for whatever reason feels really nice. Should get my CM back in the next couple of days and I can't wait to compare them. (PS2 keyboard's model is an A4Tech KeyEasy, which I found 1 128x128 picture of on google)
