  5. There is a 4 pin connector...it's right by the 8 pin one. The primary purpose of this power connector is to power the VRM that supplies power to the CPU.
  6. Dell docks monitor support relies on the GPU of your laptop..so if your laptop doesn't support it the dock won't.
  7. I work with nothing but Dell at my job...they are newer but the older ones I have never had to rename the BIOS file. Even if it's a .exe file just point to it in the BIOS update option after hitting F12. to get to the boot option screen.
  8. you could try downloading the BIOS from dell and put it on a flash drive and then turn on your laptop then after the dell logo shows up hit F12 then pick the BIOS update option and point to the BIOS file on the flash drive and update. If this doesn't work then you may have bricked your laptop. Always have a laptop plugged in when doing a BIOS update.

  12. 1st make sure your BIOS is up to date. Also did you put the memory in the A2 and B2 slots?
  13. Usually the fans don't start running until you hit a preset temperature....check your BIOS when you can.

  17. I have a Aorus Z390 Pro and I have two 970 EVO Plus NVME's and they run at X4 in the M2A and M2M slots.. I am actually adding a 3rd via adapter card to run in the X4 PCIe slot. Only issue you will have installing a 2nd SSD is you won't be able to use SATA3 4/5.
