  1. i dont know it youve done this...but...pbo on asus boards (at least x570 boards not sure on x470) need turned on in 2 different areas. first in ai tweaker and the second one is in advanced (i think under amd overclocking) just a thought with just pbo on my 5800x with a 240 rad its hit 5.1gig on 2 good cores and 4.8 on the rest with an auto overclock of 4.2 is the best ive seen on my chip
  2. i know your saying not the psu BUT hear me out i had a similar issue as you. black screen. gpu not found etc. but for me it was only unreal games. it would pass benchmarks and everything. but i fire up a unreal game, issues. replaced gpu. worked for a while and again same issue. finally replaced psu...both cards work fine. it was the 12volt rail being unstable under certain loads at random times. why only unreal games no clue. just a thought you say you have 2 more psu's? wouldnt hurt to swap one out JUST to be sure
  3. yes only the chip. the memory have pads on them. just be as gentle as you can when seperating. a few pads may tear but dont mess with them. when you put it back together the pads will remerge
  4. repasting will...i just repasted my 6800xt. it was idling at 50 with a hotspot of 70. after repaste it now idles at 32 with a hotspot of 36. on load both stay in the 50s while gaming.
  5. you should. ive used amd with tvs for ever even on older cards then that and amd has always had a scaling setting.
  6. have you updated the bios at all? maybe a bios update might fix it if its not a bad m.2
  7. its a 175 dollar 1080p tv. nothing to write home about.
  8. agree. 4k 120 444 10bit max copper hdmi 2.1 is 3m (even then its about cable quality) once you go beyond its a crap shoot if it works or not and going to avr then to tv also takes a toll.
  9. you have the same issue i have with my nano90. any hdmi input will not play any dd only stereo through eark. but the apps play all dd just fine. i honestly think its a nano series issue.
  10. found a update but not sure. i dont have any DV videos to verify, BUT this is what i was told by a few people. Microsoft's Movies and TV app using the Dolby Vision Extensions and HEVC Video Extensions works in playing DV movies
  11. set up is fine. its the avr with a issue. something inside of it is causing it to go into protect mode
  12. because its clicking and shutting off means its going into protect mode. something in the avr is shorting, or failing. might be best to take the cover off and give it a good dusting first. if it still does it youll have to find the culprit causing the issue if your capable
  13. nothing in windows can do dv as far as i know. unless somethings been updated lately to support it your out of luck. ive been looking for something solid to play dv for a while
  14. i dont think your cpu has integrated so no you cant use the mobos hdmi. only the gpu besides you WANT to use the hdmi on the gpu anyways
  15. then you got lucky. majority cant or your not running 4k 120 444 10bit
  16. 4k 120 444 hdr beyond 3ish ft copper cant handle. (there are some that have got to 6ft but rare) you need optical hdmi for that 10ft run.
  17. how long is the hdmi cable?
  18. he actually meant that you should use google to research your question.
  19. i did more research on your avr. on svforums and a few other sites theres a lot of audio sync issue threads with your unit. and none really have a fix. theres some ideas to try to fix but you did those already. im thinking it doesnt have a video bypass i cant find a fix for you
  20. on your avr, set it to pass through video. otherwise the avr will process video and cause lag (youll be able to turn tv stuff back on) then you should be able to do Shield -> AVR -> TV. my denon did it similar. im comp-avr-lg tv
  21. most are and even if a tv has regional ones majority are the same (same panel just different model number) and if there is a difference rtings will mention what they are
  22. check out rtings. best place for tv reviews, but yea tcl, hisense, lg, samsung, sony all have decent gaming tvs. especially the last couple years. tcl and hisense do have the cheapest with good options
  23. yea thats one thing im on the fence about...oh you need 1000 nit for true hdr. but damn THATS BRIGHT AS HELL
  24. yea this year c4 and up look really good
