  1. This would be a great upgrade to my HTC ONE X. Been wanting to try something else other than HTC. LG seems like a solid contestant..
  2. No, CPUS make a lot more heat than GPUs in general. Look at how much metal your heatsink on your CPU cooler has compared to your GPU. Metal dissapates heat and my reference 670 has like an each cubed of metal compared to my massive CPU heatsink and they still produce around the same heat. GPU has a lot less cooling capacity due to its form factor and how it has to be facing downwards and you cant really mount a giant tower heatsink on it without bending the pcb and the pci slot and yet I still get the same temps on my cpu than gpu.
  3. have you checked your frame rate target. maybe you accidentally set it to something low like 40fps and since furmark is heavily gpu taxing it would be the only thing that wont be reaching 40 fps so it uses all your gpu strength and since the games probably dont need that much of the gpu at something like 40fps thats why it might not be boosting. Its worth a check.
  4. Not enough AMPS. Tek Syndicate did a video and one of there power supplys couldnt handle the 770 in terms of amperage.
  5. I have a EVGA GTX 670 and when I run Bioshock Infinite at 1440p, EVGA Precision X sometimes records that I use up to 3.8GB of VRAM. Some games arent really agressive on the gpu core but really demand memory. Seems to me Bioshock is one of those games.
  6. 780 blows away a 7950. I think its almost double the performance. Check out the benchmarking videos Linus and Slick did.
  7. If you can sell your 480 for a decent price, itll be better if you sell it and just buy a 7950 which is like 250dollars. Dirt cheap now. Youll probably get 1.5X the performance with a 7950 from a 480. For example, I went from two 460's to a 670, and my performance was exactly the same. I basically got the 670 free plus a couple few bucks more after selling my 460's and mobo/cpu. 670 is on par with a 7950 as well.
  8. Hello everybody. Ive been looking around for keyboards to replace my current wireless keybaord which I pretty much need it in the living room now for my recently build HTPC. Anywho, I like the look of the Quickfire rapid and stealth--the tenkeyless design and minimalistic feel, although the problem with those is that I usually type essays and game at night. I do school in the morning, work in the afternoon, which leaves me the night to do homework or game so I need a backlit keyboard, preferably something like the stealth or rapid. (similarly to what slick does with his all nighters and ends up with red eyes at work or on the live stream lol) I was looking at the TK version with the blue led backlit, but when I game i like my mouse as centered as possible to my body and not stretched out that my shoulders become uncomfortable. If it helps in any way, my daily usage is usually 75% typing and 25% gaming. Oh and I like green and blue switches and I have pretty long, heavy fingers. (Dont know if that helps)
  9. Anyone else have Bioshock use up 3.6GB of vram? My settings are all maxed out including depth of field and running 2560 x 1440 on a gtx 670. Game plays smoothly, but I do get those occasional dips to 40ish when i get a lot of textures, usually not during fighting scenes. For example the parade passing by at the beggining of the game before you get to the "raffle".
  10. 6,626 posts. Plus this one. Good luck guys counting all the stuffz. Gonna be sleepless nights for you guys. And kudos for doing a competition like this that are just for your fans :D
  11. Love the green theme you got going on. Only thing I would change though is the placement of the radiator. if you could swap it so the tubing is on the other side, away from your exhaust fan it would be a lot cleaner.
  12. H100i for those better fans if you could afford it.
  13. I would go H100 if your planning to do any major OC. Believe you can get an h100 for the same price as an h80i and you get double the radiator space for better cooling.
  14. So I am not really seeing any cables in your build. How does the electricity get to your graphics card and CPU. Lolz ;)
  15. Dont go 560ti. The real value is 660ti or higher. Dont settle for past generation cards. Or I would also reccomend a 7870 or 7950, a little more than a 560ti but they are better. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/547?vs=548 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202010
