This was a serious question to be honest 

I've been forced into the madness because I needed a bigger screen ultimately and can probably just about live with a lightning to 3.5mm (iOS fanboy unfortunately)

(it was second hand and a really good price, I'm not a total lunatic) 

Change is annoying, so we try to avoid it as much as possible, but the world doesn't work that way; change is inevitable.

Getting used to it will take some time, especially if you use it a lot, but it'll eventually become "second nature" if you will, Just give it some time.
