    you got to delete all small partitions from prev install, otherwise you may see more & more of them.. you just go to disk management , click on the drives & play with available options, some may be protected by sys by default which makes a little more work but shrinking is very straight forward, to cut down unused space and leave as unformatted

    like in the old days i5 vs i7, both have 4 core but i7 have hyperthreading , aka smt for amd, you can imagine it double the cores for easier understanding (with only exception of 9700/k)

    such case get the longest warranty card (new) or a trustworthy brand zotac / evga / sapphire

    at least it booted, freeze under load or randomly?? -download ddu and reinstall drivers / reinstall (new partition) windows -swap pcie slots

    without spare hardware its quite impossible to spot on the issue. all you can do is to reset cmos, plug & unplug everything to fake the pc of hardware change

    wait for 4th gen, get the max possible perf gain but imo still not worth upgrading from a 1700, you may be just seeing fps from 90 to 110
