  1. I'll give it a try. In the scarlett program the buffer size was set to 256, is that what you mean by bits? I set it to 16 though, so well give it a try.
  2. The issue: For some reason my microphone pops and randomly lags (Clip provided). I have absolutely no idea why. I've tried a bunch of different fixes and what not but for some reason it still does it. The setup: 2 pc's (which is know is a pain in the butt sometimes, but this happens on my main pc also) It's a Sterling Audio condenser mic, running through a Focusrite Scarlett solo 3rd gen preamp directly into my gaming pc. Then being routed through Voicemeter to my streaming pc. Everything seems to be setup correctly, and there is no signs of peaking on the Focusrite's onboard monitor, Voicemeter, or on OBS while streaming. But, it's been doing it for a while and I've just been ignoring it. I figured I'd ask around and see if anyone had any ideas. The clip provided isn't the greatest of examples but it'll do with the 20mb limit. Any advice or help would be amazing! game_1_6.mp4
  3. So it was the PSU, Swapped it for my 650 watt out of my streaming pc and its working perfectly now with no crashes. Guess its time to go up to BestBuy and swap the other one out. Thanks for all your help you guys!
  4. Yea it is a brand new install of windows. Every shut down is a Kernel-Power error. I can always take the PSU back and get a new one. I did buy It from the BestBuy that is a few minutes from my house. I figure that's probably what I'll have to do.
  5. Nope, booted up PUBG for a few seconds sat in the main screen and PC crashed immediately. anyone think it may be the PSU for sure now? It's literally booting off the PC then restarting so that seems pretty PSU to me.
  6. PSU is still cold, I ran the timespy bench mark ->> https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/38486147? Ran fine as far as I can tell and didn't crash. I did install the chipset driver, Idk if it was already installed or not, but I redid it anyways from the manufacturers website. Gonna do a bit more testing in some graphically intensive games.
  7. The fan is spinning. It's also quite cool. Now to test under load.
  8. Also it games for anywhere between 2 mins in game - 2 hours in game before doing the random restart. It does it suddenly then fully restarts the pc. It runs fine until its put under load. So it very well may be the psu.
  9. I did just install the newest version of the bios, I wonder if maybe that's the issue. It's a brand new power supply. Lemme run it in a game and make sure its not overheating.
  10. Let me make sure, that's the only other thing I haven't checked. I will also check the drivers and such and get back to you, give me a few minutes.
  11. Everything besides the GPU were bought on the same day. Like a week ago. I'm assuming your talking about Ryzen. Mostly because I didn't/don't know enough about them. As far as I've heard intel is the way to go for gaming, but I'm pretty uninformed in that area. The GPU I bought the day they released them so it's relatively old. I did however buy a 1650 to replace it in my old PC that is now my streaming computer.
  12. I do in my streaming pc, I would have to take it apart which just seems like a hassle, but that did cross my mind to troubleshoot.
  13. Alright so I bought an entire new pc's worth of parts a few days ago. I put it all together and it worked, one small problem. It keeps randomly restarting itself. By randomly I really do mean random. It only happens when its under load, mostly when I play games. But not all the time. I can sometimes play for a few hours before it restarts, or a few minutes depending on how the pc feels I guess. I have tried reseating everything. Thought it might be a cpu temp issue, so I re applied thermal paste, and also went out and bought a liquid cooler. It's def not a temp problem unless it's the gpu overheating. I dl'ed afterburner to monitor temps while gaming and the gpu does hit around 78-80 degrees. Which is apparently average / kinda high. Any idea's on what else it could be? I've ran memtest, The ram is good. I've ran stress tests on every part of the pc and each individually passed each test. The parts are less then a week old. Any help would be appreciated. Parts list: I7-8700 (non-k) Corsair H60 water cooler MSI MPG z390 gaming plus mother board corsair cx750m power supply 32gb corsair rgb ram @ 3200 MHz GTX 1080 founder edition
  14. Yes, But not as severely. I was wondering that to. People say that NDI is supposed to have little to know impact on performance. But it's basically the same as capturing a 144htz monitor on a 60htz cap card.
  15. So I have been randomly having pretty low fps in most games here lately and am wondering if anyone has some suggestions on reasons behind it. After running a bench mark prob 10+ times just to check my hardware I can safely rule out hardware issues. I think it's probably just in the way I have some random settings configured. I have: i7-6700k at stock 4.0mhz GTX 1080 founders edition (all on default settings) I messed with a ton of different settings configs with little to no fps changes in games. - Newest drivers Corsair RM650x 650 watt PSU 16g of ddr4 ram @ 2200 (Can't remember the exact make and model(but it was kinda cheap)) Gigabyte z170x gaming-GT Motherboard (Newest bios) - all drivers are up to date Asus ROG-PG248Q 144htz GSYNC gaming monitor - Someone told me this could be an issue 2 hard drives One being and SSD 250gb Other being a standard disc drive All running on windows 10 on the latest update Also it helps to mention I stream to twitch and I project to a second pc using NDI from my main gaming pc to my streaming pc. When I'm using NDI I capture at 60 fps. Which may also affect performance I'm assuming since my gaming monitor is a 144htz monitor. But I honestly don't know. If anyone has some random thoughts or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
  16. However If I remember right the last time I monitored it no matter what game I play I couldn't get over 60% usage on my GPU unless I pumped the graphics up super high (which makes the fps tank). Processor sits around 70-80% on a few different games.
  17. I've been using afterburners overlay to monitor. I'll take some screen shots of games as I'm gaming and post them here.
  18. It is. I actually thought about this the other day and tested it lol.
  19. Cpu is within norm. Gpu sits around 80 C while gaming. When I was playing H1Z1 I was getting around 70-80 fps other people average around 120-130ish. I played Doom the other day and capped at 80 on high settings. With a 144htz monitor it kinda defeats the purpose.
  20. I updated every driver from Gigabytes site for the motherboard. Got the driver directly from Nvidia's site and used DDU to uninstall and fresh installed the driver. Updated my monitors driver from the website. Other then that Idk what else to update.
  21. Alright so I've been putting this off for a while and just dealing with the performance hits I feel I've been getting. So for a while now I have been experiencing lower fps in games then people with similar, to basically the exact same build. By lower I mean literally a 30-40 fps loss. Which is quite a bit for me. I have basically tried everything I could think of to the point of just resetting windows back to default everything. Which is where I am now. Someone said it could be because of having a gsync monitor. But idk. Any advice or help? I don't really know if I'm having a bottleneck but I wouldn't think so. Someone also said I might have a "Rootkit" in my gpu. But I honestly don't know what that means lol. I have a pretty decent knowledge of pc's and will basically try anything someone recommends (unless it's just super off putting). My gear: Gtx 1080 founders edition I7-6700k @4.0 GHZ 16gb of pny anarchy ram @2133, 2 sticks corsair rm 650x power supply Gigabyte z170x gaming GT motherboard - f22 bios (Newest) 200gb SD - Windows installed and 1 game right now 1tb HD - some random photoshop stuff and a few steam games installed Rog PG-248Q 144htz Gsync monitor Nvidia control panel settings https://gyazo.com/af7d161815f5ef9b236300008bdbf659 https://gyazo.com/39cc96447c75e86b6fe8bb9be9a2597f Any idea's or advice would be awesome. Probably helps to mention I'm playing at 1920x1080 and getting super low fps. So I know something is wrong. Just not sure what.
  22. I tested them in each slot 1 by 1. Which it should boot with a single stick in each slot. Doesn't boot to 2 of the slots. Doesn't mater if there in the right configuration if there in the 2 closest to the cpu the pc won't even post.
  23. I have tried it but it will only boot with it in slot 1, but it works in 1 and 3. Just not only 3. Makes no sense to me lol. I'm thinking there's just something wrong with the slots. Just for testing purpose's I will try it right now, Will post results when done. Alright so from farthest from CPU to closest, Lets say CPU 4 3 2 1 for simplicity Stick 1 - Slot 1 boots Stick 1 - Slot 2 boots Stick 1 - Slot 3 sits at error code 4c then switches to c1 then power cycles Stick 1 - Slot 4 same as above Exact same results for stick 2
  24. I'll just make a list of the parts I have in my pc (if it helps) Gtx 1080 I7-6700k pny anarchy 16gb ram 2.4ghz Gigabyte z170x gaming GT (all chipset drivers and other drivers are up to date) corsair rm650x power supply CMStorm case (open on both sides) 150GB ssd and a 1TB hdd asus rog pg248q 180htz monitor Other then mouse and keyboard I think that's it lol.
