  3. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Nv3H99/msi-optix-mag24c-236-1920x1080-144hz-monitor-optix-mag24c it's s little over 150 this is is a 24 inch ips https://www.amazon.com/BenQ-GW2480-Monitor-Flicker-free-Speakers/dp/B072XCZSSW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1539651448&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=benq+gw2480&dpPl=1&dpID=51k9QM9NknL&ref=plSrch
  4. You can find decent quality VA panels which are middle ground between TN and IPS for example https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07794JYLJ/?tag=pcpapi-20&pldnSite=1
  5. It's a lota fun! Keep your eye on pc part picker daily and watch for sale trends, I got every component for my build either on sale, with a rebate card deal, or some other deal. Picked up this mobo today for example ... got a free SSD lol https://pcpartpicker.com/product/VDkj4D/asrock-fatal1ty-h370-performance-atx-lga1151-motherboard-h370-performance
  6. Any of the mentioned gpus will do fine with pretty much any game at 1080p ... but I'd deff get 970 , or a GTX 1060 is around $240 I think
  7. If you don't plan to overclock then get a i5-8400 .. if oc get next step up K , 8600k I think
  8. Your mobo is compatible with slightly faster RAM speed but otherwise that's a nice build! If you have any extra cash in your budget I would go next step up for your GPU, but that may just be me being greedy
  9. Yea I tried bending them back, but upon closer inspection I realized 1 had broken off the top knob thing on the pin ... oh well, I knew I would run into some type of issue with my first go around. It's all a learning experience. Bought the same mobo today and there was a $10 rebate with a free 120gb SSD deal going on! https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16813157822?ignorebbr=true&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-Mobile&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-Mobile-_-pla-_-Motherboards+-+Intel-_-N82E16813157822&gclid=Cj0KCQjw9ZDeBRD9ARIsAMbAmoYNALiUjdREd5nQiEl6QIC6Pa9I2HCaRHRICKOyQ5jq8M1Xv8bzHG8aArnaEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
  10. Yup, that's right. Bent some CPU socket pins on my motherboard and and it won't POST... Let the noob first build walk of shame commence.
  11. There's no reviews because it just and out. Most websites you can still only preorder it... and if anything I would be more affraid of the ghosting on the IPS... VA panels are really the way to go
  12. Ya absolutely go for the 1440p. Your 1070 will do fine!
  13. I've been looking at the Samsung one as well.. how much is the average, do you have a link? ... my thoughts are to get the Samsung so your set for when you do upgrade your GPU, but your honestly still going to have pretty solid performance with your current card
  14. I'd go 1440p 144hz
