  1. Currently using 2/4 slots, with 2x4gb DDR 2666mhz ram. Would it be best to get 2x4gb 2600 ram again, for quad channel, or just get 2x8gb 3200 ram, for future upgrading? Motherboard is a MSI b450 pro-VHD max.
  2. Thanks. I should have been more clear, as I currently have 2x4gb ram, not 1x8. I do assume that faster ram would make a difference.
  3. Budget (including currency): $300 CAD. Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: gaming and web browsing. Current build: Ryzen 3 3200g, RX 570, 2x4gb 2666 ram, 120gb SSD, 2tb HDD, Thermaltake smart 500W PSU. For my monitor I recently lost my main one due to water damage, so I'm using an old TV, so not getting a monitor is out of the question for me. Hi everyone. I have recently won a contest that has given me a $250 CAD gift card for Canada computers. I am looking to get a new monitor and maybe some new ram and I want a second opinion on my plan. I am also able to spend about $50 more for a total of around $300-$350 CAD. I'm looking at getting 2x8GB 3200 ram for ~$100, and get a monitor for $150. Would more ram help increase performance in games/productivity? I've noticed that when playing games I use about 7gb ram, and when in brave browsing the internet I use about 4. Does anyone have any recommendations on what the best combination of monitor/ram would be within my budget? Looking for a nice monitor, preferably 75 Hz, and around 21". Thanks.

  6. I've been planning a new build. I want to play games with my friends and high settings. The RAM and the GPU are custom because PC part picker wont see that they are on Canada Computers and those prices include tax. I also am looking for a new monitor that in total wont be more than $950. Thanks. 7. I am wanting to play some AA-AAA games. I'm fine with high and medium settings. is there any way that this build could come down in price? 8. Found it. Thanks. Will use it instead. Any other comments?
  9. The one problem is that they get expensive. I'm used to using a hard drive so for me it shouldn't impact me all that much. Later down the road I may put in a SSD.
