  1. My in laws live in the path, so my wife and son went to see it. My Dad has dementia, so I took Monday off to take care of him.
  2. Yes, I'm looking at a custom-designed keycap. I have a Corsair - K100 RGB, which I believe does use the 1.25 keycap size for the Win key.
  3. I'm thinking of replacing the Windows key on my mechanical keyboard with a custom key cap. Has anyone used this company and how was your experience? https://www.maxkeyboard.com/custom-backlight-compatible-keycap-for-backlit-keyboard.html
  4. Post your system specs to give us an idea what we are working with to help you. That being said...Any bluecreens or just the black? Is you PC still running when the screen goes black or is it a full shutdown? Is there anything that tends to trigger it? ie. Does it only happen while games or does it happen while web browsing as well? How do your temps look? Nvidia just released a new app to replace GForce Experience. You could try installing that and updating drivers through that program. Have your updated you MOBO BIOS since you got or built the PC? If the MOBO was sittiing on the shelf for a while it can be quite a bit behind. Also consider running memtest in case your RAM isn't working as it should.
  5. I used to have a Gigabyte MOBO and RGB Fusion was not great. Try going into the BIOS and directly setting the RGB there. You should probably try uninstalling RGB Fusion first, so it doesn't override the BIOS setting when your OS loads.
  6. I'm thinking of upgrading too. I'm in a bright room and heard the glare can be pretty bad on OLEDs. Anyone have any experience with this?
  7. I agree with the above. If that doesn't fix your problem, I would also suggest trying the GPU in the other PCIe slot. It might be worth planning to change out your MOBO at some point, even if you don't get the artifacts again. It sounds like you have a lot of other MOBO related issues.
  8. I'm in the planning stage of a new build. I was thinking of going with more of a stealth rather than RGB build. I got it in my head to build inside a desk or an old antique console radio. I was just hoping to look at pictures of some of your builds for ideas. I'm really interesting in your parts arrangements and mounting methods. Thank you for any help. Note: Googling images "desk PC builds" tends to get me a lot of pictures with desks with standard PCs sitting on top of them.
  9. I prefer them having a cellular structure lacking a cell wall and chlorophyll cooked rare.
  10. Check your BIOS settings. Make sure your RAM is running at 3200. Also agree with above to check your temps.
  11. I'm currently using Windows 10 on my desktop. I've been using Linux for a few years on my work laptop and it has been working great for me. I mostly play single player games. When Windows 10 goes EOL, my plan is to build a new Linux based desktop. My son plays multiplayer games with his friends and Linux can be problematic for that. I'm going to change my current desktop to Windows 11 and give it to him, so he won't have any problems.
  12. On Youtube I watch SciShow, Eons, Today I found Out, Biographics, and Into the Shadows a lot.
  13. I would be interested in seeing a short circuit on the Canoo pickup. It's supposed to be affordable with good range, but is ugly as sin in a way that would look interesting on a thumbnail.
  14. Budget (including currency): TBD Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming Other details: I’m in the early stages of planning a build in 10/25. It’s going to be a Linux build (I’ve used Linux on my gaming laptop for a few years, mostly play single player games, and can live with the consequences). I was thinking that instead of the headache of trying to find parts that work together for an RGB build, I might go the other way and do a stealth build. I was thinking of building the PC in a desk or the underside of a table. I figured wall mounting hardware would work upside down in the case of an under the table build. For those who have done a similar build before, how was the noise level? Did you run into any unexpected maintenance difficulties? Did any parts seems to wear out faster than you would have expected, (ie AIO or GPU being upside down)? I expect dust and cooling to be more of an issue with a desk drawer type setup than an under the table more open air setup.
  15. Yup, I've had that happen before with the same symptoms. The MOBO is the next suspect after.
  16. No, special requirements other than black boot for uniformity. I just bought a set of Thorogoods, so I'm OK for about 6 months to a year. If anybody has actually tried the Vessi shoes, I am interested about what people thought of them.
  17. Nope, no safety certifications needed. Only requirements are black boots.
  18. Got regular boots instead.
  19. Thanks for replying. Unfortunately I live in a rural area and other than Walmart it is an hour drive to try on a pair of shoes no matter what.
  20. Thanks for replying.
  21. If you have a second M2 slot you can try moving the SSD and see if that helps. Make a Linux USB boot drive and see if you can find and access your SSD that way to pull off any photos or files (school or work projects, etc) that might be important to you. Make a Windows 11 USB boot drive and try a fresh reinstall of Windows with a full reformat of the drive. Hope some of that helps.

    Vessi

Has anyone tried these vessi high top shoes? https://vessi.com/products/mens-weekend-chelsea-asphalt-black-on-black I need to wear boots for work (paramedic) and they look like they might pass. I also enjoy hiking and would probably wear these on a hike (NY Catskills rough wet terrain). Thoughts?
  23. Any obvious damage to the GPU? If your 710 is working, then your 1660 is probably the problem. Other than the case any other changes to the system? ie. New MOBO, CPU, etc?
  24. Right this second Android. If I am on my laptop I'm using PopOS. On my gaming desktop it's Windows 10.
  25. Unless you have access to another compatible CPU or board, start with replacing the board.
