Thank you, that's a really good starting point, and I can actually find some lower prices as well. One question though, what's the benefit of the expensive motherboard? I can get an Asus MoBo for under 60€, what advantage does spending 70€ more give me?

    Heyo,
not sure if this is the right place for this kind of thread, but I couldn't find a better one, so whatever.
I have this idea for a Channel Super Fun video which I'm hoping to bring to the attention of someone from LMG.
Basicly, I'd like to see some of the people from LMG do an "Escape the Room" challenge together.
A quick google search came up with several places offering such games in Vancouver,
and I'm sure at least one of them would let Linus play for free, so this should be managable.

Sorry if I fucked up this thread somehow, I hope you like the idea though.

Edit: I guess some people might not know what an "Escape the Room" game is.
The following video explains it fairly well:

    Nice, thanks a lot.

Most of these are either 15 inch or bigger or not FHD, thanks though.

Also, why are chromebooks so funny? I thought they were just ultrabooks with ChromeOS?

WAIT HOLD UP. WE DONT WANT LINUS'S PERSONAL PC. The case has a lot of meaning to him guys. It was a gift from his wife. I believe it was the first gift from her too.
EDIT: Thanks for all the likes guys! Hopefully Linus or someone from LMG will read this and this will make Linus keep his build. Even if the goal of 100k is made we should convince Linus to do another build maybe, with signatures from the whole LMG family and maybe even his wife. This would let Linus keep the build he has with the special case his wife gave him. Besides, his personal PC would be more special to him than us.

Well, first of all, you're not at all a dick by posting this link, I actually couldn't find this on their website, I found another guide though. However, the "explanation" on their site doesn't actually do a very well job of explaining it. For example, what use will a ship be that is made for "exploration" or "racing"? In one of the few videos I've seen they mentioned a few roles, those being "Merchant", "Pirate", "Mercenary" and "Bounty Hunter". How is a ship made for exploration going to be useful for any of those jobs? Anyway, as I've said already, I have found a nice guide (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/46095085/Buyer%27s%20Guide.pdf) which gave a nice insight, though I don't know which of the limited ships are still available. Based on the assumption that all the limited ships have been sold out already, I have decided to go for a ship from the 300 series, the freelancer or the cutlass, depending on a) my budget and b) whether or not my friends want to play aswell (if yes, I might want multiple seats). If for some reason I end up willing to spend a fair amount of money on this game and find out that none of my friends want to play star citizen, I might buy a hornet, but that's very unprobable.

Thanks, that was actually really helpful, I will most definitel pledge as soon as I have chosen a ship

I've stated this in the video comments already, but while I like the idea of some linusmediagroup gaming channel, I really didn't like the particular video you made.
It was (for me at least) boring as hell (no humour whatsoever), and it wasn't very informative either. Hell, you didn't even specify what kind of game it was (as in "what genre").
In addition, the whole thing seemed very scripted, almost like you were just reading it out. The whole video felt like a badly made powerpoint presentation you'd make in highschool,
not made to entertain or spark interested, just for the sake of making it and getting a good grade.

If the future videos will be anything like this first one, I just won't bother watching them, there are channels like totalbiscuit (ofc TB is hard to beat) which are both more entertaining and informative than this video.
If you want the gaming videos to be successful, to stand out from the thousands on youtube, you need to add your unique style to them.
What I personally would love to see is a livestream where you both get together and play a game which neither of you have played before.
